I've never seen this show, but I think I found a plothole. Midge is from the early 1960's, and Barbie knows her. Barbie was created in the late 1950's. Since Midge is so stuck in the 60's that she doesn't understand even the concept of cell phones, that probably means she and Barbie haven't seen each other in decades. So Barbie should know damn well what a telegram is. Even if this Barbie is a younger clone of the original Barbie, she recognizes and remembers Midge, which means she should probably remember other old things like telegrams. Tl:dr? There is no reason Barbie shouldn't know what a telegram is.
