It's a real card, but not a good one. It's literally a Dark Magician with a destroy one monster effect. It's a throwaway monster because it can be summoned from the graveyard.

"Knight's Title" should be able to summon other kinds of monsters. For example, when Joey managed to gain control of Kaiba's "Blue-Eyes White Dragon", he could've used this card to turn it into "Blue-Eyes White Dragon Knight", just to _really_ piss Seto off.

So weird story. But I’ll NEVER forget the time I bought DM Knight at a card shop cause I loved its appearance in the anime. The next day my brother’s friend was visiting and told me he had a random yugioh card that he wanted to get rid of. It was literally Knights Title. I was weirded out for a week.

Better, actually. Because unlike Mr. Snobby Pants, (Kaiba) Joey KNOWS that playing Tag Team Duels means BOTH players build on each other's moves to win. Kaiba said in the 4 part miniseries "Double Duel: Yugi & Kaiba vs Lumis & Umbra", "Teamwork is for Boy Scouts & Nursery Schools, Yugi"

The last time Joey and Kaiba fought, it took Kaiba three episodes to beat Joey, and Joey managed to use Kaiba's own Blue-Eyes against him and reduce Kaiba down to 800 life points. That isn't "beating Joey within a second"

They underestimated Joey because he wasn't a famous duelist like Yugi or Kaiba. So they thought he wasn't as good as them (and to be fair, he really isn't), and his not as good play would hold Yugi back. They don't understand the power of teamwork.

Well To Be Fair, Yugi and Joey always Summon a Brand New Monsters either Effect (Mirage Knight, Dark Magician Knight) or Fusion (Black Skull Dragon, Dark Flare Knight) and both perform very well against Paradox Brothers and Big Five, also despite Yugi is the one that carry most the Duel without Joey around to give support to Yugi, He would lose the duel anyway

In Season 5, it was shown that Aknadin was training Seto in swordsmanship and also a part where Atem was swordfighting Bakura's minions off when Mahad first became the Dark Magician. So if they were taught in swordsmanship, it's safe to assume that Mahad was also taught. Besides, back in ancient Egypt, it was common for high nobles to train in combat.

In the anime, it probably just turned any creature from it's original type to a warrior type. It makes sense if he wanted to have other types of monsters in his deck, to benefit from his deck master's special ability.

Yeah, that's pretty much right. Here's the anime version of the card: yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Knight's_Title_(anime) If you read the card description, it just turns any Spellcaster-type monster into a Warrior-type. Also, in the virtual world duels the characters selected their deck right before the duel, so when Joey included that card he knew he was tagging with Yugi (lots of spellcasters).

This card should have a Retrained version with New Effect Like Dark Magician Knight Level : 7 ATK : 2500 DEF : 2100 Spellcaster/Effect (This Card Also count as a Warrior type Monster) You Can Special Summon this card by Return a Dark Magician in your field or hand to your deck. Once Per Turn you can Destroy 1 Monster on your opponent field, then this card increase it's ATK by 700 Point, if this card on the field send to the graveyard you can special summon 1 Dark Magician or Dark Magician Girl from your Deck or Graveyard Face up to your field.

Actually, Beloved Maiden's effect was triggered by battle, and Burst Lady never battled her. (The dialogue had nothing to do with the gameplay, and was sort of an ad-lib.)

Yeah. Apparently it’s effect here is that it can turn ANY spellcaster into a Warrior (probably why Joey chose it before the duel started) and I feel like you could do a lot more with that

People in the comments just assume this is a "Dark Magician" card in the anime 🤣 it's probably a card that makes any monster a warrior in the anime thus the name "Knights Title" giving anyone the title of a knight

Yeah, thats the way it seems like. Its just become a warrior card, and in the anime series whenever a monster changes its type it gets a new look and its attack name changes, which a kind of prefer more.

Agreed. They could have easily just made Knight's Title into an equip card that makes monsters into Warrior types and changed Dark Magician Knight summoning requirements into something similar to Red-Eyes Black Metal Dragon, where you can special summon it when Dark Magician is equipped with Knight's Title.

😂😂You know, that would be hilarious if the show ever made it a plot point to show that the real reason why so many of the villains lose in this show is because almost nobody ever bothers to fully read how their cards actually work. I mean, *NOBODY* should *EVER* waste their entire life growing up in some twisted academy or obtaining super-powered transformations just to figure out how to play a card game. *Just read the fricking INSTRUCTIONS, people!!!* 🤣🤣🤣🤣

In the duel between yugi and arcana/pandora (his name was changed in the dub) Arcana lost because he didn't know how dark magic curtain and Dark magician girl's effect worked. And going to an academy to learn to play a card game is literally the plot of gx

Even though Joey and Yugi/Yami make a fantastic, super, mega powerful team, I still prefer Yugi and Kaiba. They are just unstoppable when they work together. If only Kaiba belived in Yugi more and decided to work with him without thinking about his ego, those two would be both the kings of the game

As I recall, when DM Knight is summoned, it's special ability destroys a card, or maybe it was a monster, on the field. So, technically, Joey didn't have to transfer any battle power and Beserk Dragon would have been destroyed.

Dark magician knight is summoned, therefore, it replaces dark magician and dark magician is sent to the graveyard. Since dark magician is Yugi's deck master, he automatically loses. Smooth move, Joey.

Remember when the Big 5 tributed each if their deck masters to summon Five-Headed Dragon? Or how they brought forth Berserk Dragon after FHD was destroyed? By your own logic, the Big 5 should have lost earlier. There's a type of inheritance rule where if the original deck master is tributed by effect or otherwise, the monster brought forth takes it's place as Deck Master. Just look at what happened with Yugi and Joey bringing out Dark Flare Knight and then bringing out Mirage Knight.
