No hate towards rush duels but I just really want a master rule anime again. I tried to get into both Sevens and Go Rush and just couldn't do it. As someone who has seen all of the other anime in their entirety, it's sad to feel uninterested in a franchise that you've enjoyed for so long

Give us a Vrains manga. Vrains got done so dirty by Studio Gallop and Konami; it's the only Yu-Gi-Oh anime to never receive a manga adaptation.

Even though I love the Rush duel style of dueling I hope we could return to the Master duel format In Yugioh 9, I miss it.

Jump Victory Carnival is in two weeks. They don't usually announce anime stuff there, but if Konami Animation is cooking something, maybe they could announce it there.

My guess is the next series will also be a Rush one as a sequel to Rush's ending to make it a trilogy series. I like the idea you mentioned of potentially adding Master Rule duels, would give them a reason to print Rush Duel cards as Master Rule cards that we haven't gotten a chance to see in Sevens. Personally I think they could release Synchros in the 3rd series, as Synchros are a future thing, and being a 3rd series of Rush Duel, the way 5Ds was to Master Rule format, would make it all the more ironic.

I think animated versions of “Live Duels” that they used to do for Nationals would be more preferred. Like imagine an animated adaptation of Jaden vs Aster when they showed off new Neos support and seeing Aster summon DPE. That would be so dope. They’re all scripted anyway so why not just animate it and then get their original VAs to dub it

As much as I want a Master Duel anime, I still believe Yugioh 9 will mostly be another Rush Duel series due to how successful the format & the last 2 shows have been in Japan. Although, I'm surprised Konami hasn't released the Rush TCG format to the West yet. As for the non-Yugioh anime projects Konami might be doing, I'd love to see them do a Contra series or a METAL GEAR franchise.

5:41 one big issue with a Rush/Master hybrid is summaries and screenshots that release ahead of time once people that don't like it know a upcoming featured duel is Rush viewers will just skip it unless they somehow completely omit mentioning the type of duel in both the summary and screenshots

The idea of a Rush/Master Duel anime would be something really cool to see, Dylan! Also, the whole "Konami Animation working on multiple projects" was a real eyebrow raiser! I do agree Yu-Gi-Oh 9 will still be done by Bridge and will still be a Rush Duel style anime, but , with Konami's recent statements, this now opens the door for a movie, maybe a Zexal or Vrains based movie, or a GX post Duel Academy movie, who knows. But this statement makes a new Yu-Gi-Oh movie much more likey than it did a few months ago!

They should give us a Kaiba spinoff based around dimension hopping, where we see characters from other spinoffs occasionally. That would be huge. He could use every card mechanic in the game. You know he would if he could integrate it into different Blue Eyes decks with new support cards. Blue Eyes link dragon anyone?

Honestly i don't want to see a dm reboot. That would be awful and like dbs they'd have to redo the ending with kaiba going back in time to face atem. Probably excuse the plot holes with vrains skill powers and stronger field spells that work like season one giving specific types advantage. But yeah anyone saying that basically needs to ignore zexal is literally og Yu-Gi-Oh in many ways since all the characters wre just the og cast younger with slight changes

Master duel format won't work without a massive rework to master duel rules. Especially as the power level of viable decks in Master rules is extremely high.

It's hard to predict what the next anime will be since the ending of Go Rush is so up in the air. Like wildcard prediction, the next anime is a sequel to Sevens, but your main cast of Go Rush was transported to the future to meet up with the main cast of Sevens. In that scenario, you would probably have the first season about figuring out what happened, and maybe where is Yuga as the Go Rush cast made it back before him somehow (as it was Yuga on the ship at the end or something was wrong with Yuga when he got back); followed by the search for Otes and that will bring in descendants of Go Rush characters (mostly the aliens), and the final season being taking down Otes finally. Have a trilogy to wrap up the Otes saga, and maybe Yugioh 9 will show how the influence of what happened in Go Rush changed the timeline of Sevens. As for a hybrid rush and master series, I think because the main appeal would be to draw back in former fans, then I think they would probably try to go all in with nostalgia and relate it back to Duel Monsters. So if they did a DM remake with both Rush and Master duels, that would be the best marketable way to grab everyone. Yugi becoming the King of Games and his focus on game design could be the avenue to bring Rush Duels to the DM storyline. Like Yugi could've created the way to play Rush Duel style because Joey struggles with Master Duels. Yugi and his friends could (assuming this is set in a more modern or futuristic time) could actually be launching a channel on the internet showing how to play Rush Duels: Yugi is the creator, Joey is the tester, Tristan is the tech guy helping record and upload stuff, and Tea is the channel personality. Atem could still be present and likens creating a game to building and maintaining a nation, and, as a King of Games spirit, seeks to also master Yugi's new game. This channel catches the eye of Pegasus as they're unofficially changing his cards and he wants to see if Yugi's Rush Duels are worth investing in. Kaiba can still be there as a Master Duel elitist at first and slowly becomes more open to Rush Duels. Duelist Kingdom is essentially play testing Rush Duels as Pegasus made official cards for them and if Yugi wins, he'll release it to the masses; however, he'll have to beat some of the current best duelists motivated by the luxurious prizes Pegasus offers. Most of the match ups play as normal if desired, but a neat point would be that the adult characters insist on master duels while the younger are willing to try rush duels (and maybe rush duels give double the star chips or some other incentive). Instead of Kaiba threatening to jump, he could just win by using the first Maximum in Rush duels for the show. Maybe add a fun little bit for finals where each competitor can create 2 approved cards before the match to add to their deck for tension building (like how in Vrains you knew Revolver had a strong counter in Mirror Force so Playmaker was trying to play around it). The final duels could be Mai vs Yugi - Master with Mai really enjoying Rush Duels (assuming she played 1 against Tea and lost on purpose still), and Bandit Keith vs Joey - Master with Joey having only played Rush for all his wins and only Master Duel was when he lost to Kaiba, so this is the first time his skills transferred correctly. Yugi vs Joey is a Rush duel, maybe with Joey using the first fusion as the cards he decided to create, with Yugi revealing to have had the same idea. Yugi vs Pegasus could start as a master duel but when Yugi wins with the mind swapping, Pegasus uses his millennium eye to initiate a shadow game where he and Yugi rematch in a Rush Duel with both having made Maximums in the finals. Duelist Kingdom ends. Duke Devil shows up in between to face Yugi, maybe still Dungeon Dice monsters or maybe he came up with the speed duel format of Duel Links for master duels, but Yugi wins and Duke is on the channel to help balance the game. Battle City is up, and Kaiba still initiates it to get the god cards, but also to show his superiority with Maximums. New rules are Rush Duels get you locator cards, but Master Duels give you canvas cards which can be used to make your own Maximum monster using data from your own deck and everybody starts with one of each. And it gets revealed that Kaiba is using Maximums to counter and replicate the power of the god cards. Marik is still there doing his things woth the Rare Hunters, but is using them to amass cards so his major duel lackeys can have Maximums. Joey still chooses to only Rush Duel so he never gets canvas cards, while Yugi does a mixture of both. Joey gets possessed by Marik still and in that Rush Duel with Yugi, it's revealed that Marik used canvas cards his Rare Hunters collected to give him a Maximum. Then quarter finals start on the blimp, those are all Rush. (If they do remake the Noah arc, cool and just go crazy as nothing is real so you can just make up whatever.) Semifnals in the tower, those are Master. Yugi vs Marik is a Rush Duel, before Marik claims the Pharoah is being unfair using the rules he created and makes a Shadow Game Master Duel. Then the Orichalcos arc, which is again, cool do whatever here cuz magic but for the love of everything sacred if you bring Mai back give her a good sendoff and be plot relevant like being the princess of Atlantis or reincarnation of a priestesses or something more than evil biker chick that forgot all previous character development. And yeah, I have no ideas for the final arc as it really doesn't follow the mechanics of the game so whatever is cool I guess. Very long winded, but hybrid show with DM remake, that's how. It'd also be cool if each of the core group initially had a summoning method they preferred using in Master Duels like Joey is Fusion, Tristan is Synchro, Tea is Pendulum (or Ritual if we still wanna ignore Pendulums), Bakura is Xyz and Duke is Link. With Yugi and Kaiba using all of them of course. Or if they wanna use nostalgia without remaking DM, then a DM sequel where we see a brand new cast with cameos from the older cast. Again, most of the new cast being kids is Rush focused while the older characters are Master Duel focus. Maybe a true 2 character lead with them being Yugi's kids and each focusing on 1 style of dueling mainly but can do both. Easy way to get people guessing who will reappear and who has a next gen counterpart.

Yugioh 9 will most likely be a Rush style anime. Most likely to finish off the story that Sevens started. However, the idea of having a hybrid style anime with Master and Rush sounds cool. I would be up for seeing that

I think a cool way to do a hybrid show is to make it that at every character’s ace monster works in both master and rush. And the only thing that changes about their deck is the support cards around that monster.

Really hope they return to standard dueling for the anime next time. It can still be light hearted with a touch of darkness if they want but please return to form Or do two anime. One for rush and one for normal or like 5ds in speed and standard duels

I would like to see a new anime that is not a rush duel in which they return to normal duels and introduce a new type of extra deck monster that has a red edge

Another thought is 2025 will be the 25th anniversary of the anime so that lines up pretty well for starting a new show. I'm still coping for a crossover Duel Links anime. It would even feature both Rush and Master Dueling like you speculate in the video. But I do think there's a strong chance we get a third Rush anime to complete its trilogy. There's also the question as to why did Go Rush get "extended". Was it that popular that they thought it was a good idea, or did they change their minds about a Rush trilogy and want to finish the story in one year rather than another two? While that shareholding meeting sounds promising, I still think Konami Animation will exist just for creating promotional material, like trailers. They had shots for the Tactical Try Decks recently, and I think "multiple projects" is possibly referring to making such animations for non-Yugioh content. Although them saying to wait for announcements does sound more substantial. Looking forward to this year's Jump Festa though. I do wonder when the Go Rush dub will come out...

a lot of old animes r getting remade (one piece, rose of versailles) maybe we can get a DM remake?? IK its not good to do since its complex and hard for the animators, but i would love the return to the old art style. Maybe for that type of anime it could be seasonal instead of weekly then.

Just discovered your channel today. As a avid yugioh fan who doesn't play the game much anymore these days. Yet still loves and watch the anime. I like your idea concept for yugioh gen 9 of mixing both rush and regular duels in the style like they did with 5'ds. I did give Arch V a solid try and Rush but could not get into those series at all and not sure why. But most gens i have loved especially going slowly through Vrains which I'm loving the theme being all tech based.

considering how they split duel links in master rules and rush rules, it would make a lot of sense to have a world that allows both rules formats, so an anime with both master or speed AND rush rules makes a lot of sense

like you said one shot duels are intresting for characters and new support. also they can make old characters appearing like what are they doing or something like that. imagine judai(jaden) traveling around the world to duel, or jack having a duel against yusei (because at the end of the anime at the tv he says he is goingt to beat yusei)

The problem is the cards and archetypes are completely different from master to rush. It just wouldn’t work and would be confusing. Also narratively pointless, the duels are just the tools to push the story, not the topic of the story, rightfully so. So yeah, it would just be fanservice for master duel fans, not a good narrative decision.

Yu-Gi-Oh! Go Rush!! will be on Disney XD with an edited English Dub in later 2024 or 2025.

I’m looking forward to seeing what happens in the next couple of episodes of Go Rush and how it all ends. IF we get a ninth series of Yugioh, I hope we don’t get a DM remake but instead I hope we get something like a lore anime and I like the sound of a hybrid anime. It would be really cool and interesting. Or we could get the OCG structures manga turned into an anime

My speculation for the next anime is heavily affected by the last episode. I am not sure if you noticed but Yuamu wants to infuse monster reborn with the darkmen substance to give it the power to remove memories which its what leads Goha yuga to become swirly and FINALY explains why in his debud Yuga came out of swirly is some black sludge like thing (the darkmen essence). We are actively reminded that things unexplained in sevens and go rush have an explanation that they simply havent given us yet including Lukeman. This tells me one thing, They WILL give us explanations and if they cant find a way to do this in go rush there will be a third Rush era anime to finish Yugas story.

I would not mind it since Go Rush failed to use maximum summoning, having a hybrid rush duel anime would be interesting to see

it is interesting to have saw this video based on yugioh's direction and all, but not sure on how to feel about rush duel format at all, it's an ok change of pace but, would be way nicer if Konami would take the time to review my yugioh anime and card pool with possibly some Turbo Duels, probably Speed Duels too, and some newer and existing characters too. cuz as is, if Konami does slip up on the making of a new yugioh anime, and extend upon rush duel format, not sure if I should feel sorry for that decision, and might be challenging to keep the fanbase amused (if that makes sense). but maybe my idea could be the perfect remedy to lift everyone's spirits and get others into or stay on the yugioh TCG, not only "the more the merrier", but Konami could line the company up with more money that way, instead of not accepting newer ideas from other folks

Imo the chances of each happening are around New Rush anime- 45% Card Lore anime- 20% Hybrid style- 15% as another point is both the previous trilogies were Hybrid style, 5D's with Standard and Turbo and Vrains with Standard and Speed A Crossover series -9% Go Rush Season 4- 5% DM reboot(ala DBZ Kai or FMA: B)- 5% New Master Duel anime- 1% You don't announce a studio with something completely unrelated when you don't have to, but it might still be too early to expect a full series from Konami Animation

The 7s duel disk originally was meant for master duels I’m surprised they haven’t incorporated that the duel disks could transform back or they could make another rush duel series that sets up them going into master duels again

One of the things I would like to see in the 9th installment is how they would implement XYZ summoning. As of right now only Fusion summoning is available in rush duels. It would be really cool that one of the newer characters, similar to the Gohan sibling, an antagonist to use this brand new summoning to beat an important character for how much the rush dueling game changes.

Speaking now of the subject, I think that we will have a third Rush's Anime, but I think that its approach will be different from what was seen in SEVENS and GO RUSH: that is, the essence of both will still be there, but the Setting and the Characters will be something completely new. Seeing as SEVENS takes a lot of elements from DM and GO RUSH has used several plots and elements from GX. This third Rush's Anime would take a lot of inspiration or ideas from 5Ds. However, I do not rule out that Konami now has other ideas for different Animes: Rush, Master and even for Lore Archetypes. I feel like now it's better to wait for something related to Lore Archetypes than a guaranteed Rush's Anime. Although who knows, the demand for Rush's Animes seems to be a thing in Japan since, reportedly (but no source found), GO RUSH's Season 3 only exists thanks to fans of the series asking for the story/adventure to be continued. (which means GO RUSH was going to end in Season 2)

Can we take a break from the dueling aspects of the anime and instead try the animation chronicles for the card lore (i want THEM right now)

Obviously Yugioh 9 is going to be another Rush Duel Anime but If it is I don't think Yuga Yudias and all of those characters will be in it and it won't be a sequel only if it's a Trilogy but I doubt Yugioh 9 will be a Trilogy the next Yugioh series I think will have some new characters and I'm hoping we get like two protagonists a boy and a girl it would be very cool to see but it's still an unlikely thing to happen we'll see tho.

Yugioh Master Duel format is struggling to attract younger players, and I always thought part of the reason for that is they don't have an ongoing anime here in the west to help get the younger demographic interested. You are right that Yugioh doesn't really need an anime to keep it's current fans attention, but they the anime is how they grew their fanbase in the first place and without it I find it hard to believe they will attract many new fans.

Doing a hybrid series for rush duels and master duels would be a bit more complicated on the writing side because they would most likely need separate teams writing the duels and it might end up costing the company more money than they expect, but it would be cool to see

Go Rush is getting close to that number. * Lately, the story might feel like it's building to a big finish. * There's no official word yet, but Go Rush might be wrapping up soon. * Don't worry though, there will probably be a new Yu-Gi-Oh! show with new characters and duels after this! So, Yu-Gi-Oh! Go Rush might be saying goodbye soon, but get ready to duel in a whole new way with the next series!

I think they will make just rush anime since the Master duel decks are becoming to strong to write engaging duels. The hybrid show is a bad idea, most people will just watch master duel and ignore rush, they reason the other formats worked is because they still use the master duel cards while rush have new cards that could only work in rush. is not a good idea trying to please everyone

but based on what I had said on Konami accepting the newer anime and card pool, I got the card pool somewhat rolling, with the exception of the anime development 😿other than my objection to rush duels, maybe me and Konami can give that a chance, as much as they stress it. but that was like a side project for like years now, before yugioh 5Ds aired and after, yep I somewhat look forward to what Konami might have in mind for next year, hopefully it'll turn out to be my idea, or a lot better than my initial idea, otherwise fans will grow disappointed. sorry about the long rant on the direction of yugioh but, as much as I hate to say it, Konami did pretty well with the first yugioh and so forth. hopefully my yugioh might be the right call, wouldn't know, and peace for now

I’m good with a hybrid anime. I can see the new protagonist learning both dueling styles, each summoning mechanic to find which deck, archetype and method works best for them. It would be nice to see a girl learning them, many even making references to the previous protagonists. We don’t have to see them, or returning characters like Arc-V. Or maybe they travel time and space to learn from the protagonists directly in the first season. Just a couple episodes of them each. I see what you did there with Shingo. 😆

I think it's pretty safe to say that the next series will be a rush focused one. I'd like to see them make an attempt for a monthly series like OCG Struct but market it for the US too. Master Duel only fans deserve some kind of representation too. as far as the next season. I really want them to focus less on Extra Deck mechanics and introduce some main deck ones. I think Flip, Union, and Gemini monsters would all be very fun additions to the game if given the cleaned up treatment things like Contact Fusion has gotten.

I just want a more serious anime rather than something that's written like a cocomelon skit.

What konami needs to do is stop go rush. they've already messed up the anime enough, we do not need a third season. We can also forget about the previous 7 protagonists coming together, go rush screwed this. What they need to do is quit this dumb trashy cartoony animation, and take it back to Arc-V and vrains animation. And make the protagonists teens again. Personally i have nothing against Rush anime, but i didn't really enjoy Sevens, and i wasn't attracted by Go Rush, so if next serie is a Rush one again i would still give it a try just to see, But i wouldn't mind a Master Anime again, regarding a anime that mix Master and Rush. Whenever Yugioh 9 comes I hope we can get a new summoning method and maybe an idea I thought of having two protagonists and a way to have both master rule and Rush duels have their be a conflict on what form of dueling is better Rush or Master and it would fit in to the Irl debate on what is better. A card lore anime is all i really want. I want to see Charmers, Magistus, Sky Striker, Albaz, and more in full animation of their stories. This would also promote the card game by potentially giving them more supports. Most of the archetypes shown in Chronicles have already gotten new stuff like Six Sams, Blue-Eyes, Magistus. Im just really desperate to get more Charmer supports

I would honestly like it if it goes back to standard dueling but this time, they make a new type of spell/trap cards instead of a new summoning mechanic, maybe something similar to judgment arrows.

If they ever remake the original series, I hope it's an alternate universe like Trigun Stampede instead of a faithful adaptation or the same story with new support cards. The original manga should be voice acted at most, not readapted. That's a waste of animators and money, as well as being too late to do without Kazuki Takahashi's involvement. He could have improved his original story and stick to his original scrapped plans for Millenium World health problems forced him to rush, but now there is no point. At most, you can animate Yu-Gi-Oh R.

an anime that doesn't relate too much about the cards but still features them could really drive up interest in the game. if there are too many combos than such combo decks should only be featured in a few select scenes or episodes.

When they were dubbing Yu-Gi-Oh! SEVENS they skipped three episodes which were episodes 59, 68, and 80 without ever having them dubbed. They're repeating 4Kids' mistake with Yu-Gi-Oh! GX and Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's like when they skipped episode 156 and Season 4 of Yu-Gi-Oh! GX entirely so they start dubbing Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's, then they skipped episodes 111, 112, 113, 114, 115, 116, 117, 118, 119, 120, 121, 122, 123, 130 of Season 4 and episodes 137, 138, 139, 140, 141, 142, 143, 144, 145, 146, 147, 148, 149, 150, 151, 152, 153, and 154 of Season 5. All of these episodes must be dubbed like right now for all of us fans.

5 minute shorts wouldn't cut it when turns are 40 minutes long on average

I've been saying for a while that Yugioh 9 should be a hybrid anime because when it starts, kids in Japan who were in elementary school (say 4th-6th grade) when Sevens started will be in their last year of junior high school (9th grade) or first or second year (11th grade) of high school. That seems like the perfect time for Konami to try to transition those kids into also playing the more complicated OCG now that they're older.

I don't mind another Yugioh show with the Rush Duel format, but the new story and characters need to be done right. Fast duels in Go Rush mean more time to add new characters, do other action scenes that are not duel-related, and also add other extra fun things to an episode. A long duel might take three episodes or more before it finishes; I prefer a quick duel to have extra time to do other things much sooner.

I hope Xyz Summon will join the Rush Duel format, since the Fusion Summon is been longer, and its new variant is contract Fusion. Xyz Summon can fit in Rush Duel format since Xyz summoning requires 2 same monsters level, Also it sacrifice the level, converted to Rank. I love to see what gonna be new variant for Xyz summon just like Fusion Summon with Contract Fusion.

I fine whatever we get would be cool to have a rush deck too or a master duel style

I would like a yugioh anime of the monsters lore, like we got for Egyptian gods and blue and dark magician

My prediction of the end of go rush was kinda right, tho it wasnt the end of go rush. I predicted after the cat time travel episode that yuga would be the final villain because of how he felt after learning about rush duels being forgotten. Turns out i was somewhat right, i will take my 1/3 of a victory and be happy with it. Now imo, i believe that yudias and yuhi may duel at end, and somehow, monster reborn will erase everyones memories. For why theres no aliens in sevens... Maybe they will be sent to the future after sevens is done? Maybe thats how yuga comes back in the picture? Who knows...

I loved the idea of having both Master(/Speed) and Rush in one anime. But you will have the Rush Duel be fair by playing 5 monsters in their opening hand compared to the Master Duel that summons 20 times on their first turn and can negate the first 5 cards their opponent's play. The gameplay is just too different.

All I would want to see is either the archetype anime they teased or a continuation of dark side of dimensions
