Hi, I was a fan of the Eternal Soul of the Duelist, I love that game very much. Then I only played one other game in the PSP (can't remember the name) in which you were at a school or something and although I enjoy it, it wasn't the same simple thing as ESotD. Exeledus Prince I hate set rotation in any game.It just means that if you want to play the game after a hiatus,you have to invest all your money over again.The banlist fixes that.If you want to complain about meta being combo focused that’s fine,but control decks can do just as well.look at sky striker,altergeist,and guru control,for example.also “creativity and strategy” are still on the game,just some of the meta cards are pretty costly,such as ash blossom.thats a legit problem for people trying to get into competitive YGO.but saying creativity isn’t present is absolute nonsense.The meta is probably more diverse than ever.back in the “good ol’days” everyone played about the same thing.Now is probably one of the best times to be into yugioh,but getting into it is quite costly...so I mostly end up playing online where I don’t have to pay all the money for a deck I find fun.

Konami. Yu-Gi-Oh Duel Links had better polishment but the way they handled "powercreep monetization" killed the game. Best Yu-Gi-Oh game in years.

I guess the big selling point is that this version has the 2017 rule set instead of the 2014 one. Oh and also all the new cards too.

Yeah, you get to play through the story of each of the series, plus after you beat each duel you get the reverse duel version where you play as the opponent.

There is a story mode for each anime where the opponents will only use cards from their generation. For example, Kaiba can use fusions, normal, and effect monsters but not synchro. However, you can use any cards you want if you use your own deck.

XYZ was fine and actually kind of balanced the game after Syncro summons were introduced. Pendulum summoning just broke the entire game beyond repair, though.
