Interesting enough, the fact that each Legendary Knight banished a Spell/Trap card on summon, considering they are all summoned at the same time, references the moment when the three together destroyed the three rings of Orichalcos present during the anime duel.

I could Never bring myself to see tham as acutal Cards. I think of them as cheating. I would never use them, and i get furious if someone uses them against me. Seriously, it's annoying. Same for Oricalcos - absolutly cheat Cards, even topping with Infinite Attack Points and immune against everything.

you also left out that, because of the precise wording, in the card game the eye of timeaus can be used as a fusion spell/substitute to summon any fusion monster that lists a "dark magician" monster,specifically dark paladin and dark flare knight (forgot the name, flame swordsman and dark magician.)

And that's why I have them in my side deck. EOT helps get me out of a lot of jams with being able to summon 1 of 4 different fusion monsters for different situations.

It's weird that Kaiba didn't get a Fusion Monster that was a variation of his signature card. Joey got Red-Eyes Black Dragon Sword and Yugi got Dark Magician Girl the Dragon Knight.

My only issue with The Eye of Timaeus is that it doesn't follow the trend the other Legendary Dragon/Knight cards do. The Claw of Hermos focuses on Effect Monsters while The Fang of Critias focuses on Traps, so shouldn't Timaeus focus on Spells? Still love it though.

And now we have Dark Magician The Dragon Knight & the recently revealed Destruction Dragon. Which are new fusions for Timaeus & Critias respectively. Now I'm just waiting for a new Hermos fusion. Perhaps for Legendary Collection Joey. Also I would like to see a new Timaeus fusion that could serve as a counterpart to Goddess Bow. Here's an idea. Sage Dragon. A level 9 Dark Dragon Fusion Effect monster with 3200 Attack & 2800 Defense. It requires Time Wizard & a Dragon Type monster. Must be fusion summoned with the above materials or with the Eyes Of Timaeus. If this card is special summoned you can add one spell or trap card from your deck to the hand. If this card is destroyed you can special summon one Thousand Dragon from your extra deck and if you do it gains 600 Attack & Defense. This card would serve as a counterpart to not only Goddess Bow. But also a direct counterpart to Dark Sage. As in the TCG Dark Sage requires you to resolve Time Wizard's effect while controlling Dark Magician in order to special summon it (Which as Davinator has pointed out is not worth the effort) in addition to having the stats of Dark Sage but flipped. As well as a counterpart for Dark Flare Knight since they both special summon a monster upon being destroyed. With Sage Dragon summoning a monster from the extra deck as opposed to the main deck.

I just realized that each of the Legendary Dragons affects one of the three main card types. Eye of Timaeus uses monsters to form fusion monsters, Claw of Hermos turns monsters into what is basically equip spell cards, and Fang of Critias gains power from trap cards. Fascinating.

Carlisle the Cinephile It would be nice to have fusions that use monsters from GX onwards. Like imagine a fusion of the Eye of Timaeus & say ANY of the Elemental or Destiny Heroes. That would be badass. As would a fusion of the Claw of Hermos with cards like: The Vehicroid Archetype, The Neo-Spacian archetype, The Traptrix Archetype, and hell even the Madolche archetype because why not? As well as the Fang of Critias and any of the Monster Trap cards. Not to mention other monsters that TGS has covered like Inpachi.

Here's a question. If you could fuse one card with any of these cards to make a new card. Which would it be and why? My answer. Embodiment of Apophis because Embodiment of Apophis is a monster trap card. So it would be cool to have a fusion monster with a monster trap card as a required material.

I proved my self, it didn't work. The efect of avatar does not activate durin the battle fase or Timaeus efect only activates one time durin it's atack. Either way, it doesn't work

I remember seeing this arc on kids WB when I was young I did not know that this was part of the main series Yu-Gi-Oh I thought it was a separate series run I also thought it was just a fever dream at one point because I couldn’t find it

The Dragon of Destruction is a fusion made with Critias and the trap card Ring of Destruction. It's a good monster with 3000 def, and his effect have no backfire on you, like the trap card. "Once per turn you can pick one card your oponent control and destroy it. If it was a monster card, inflict damage to your oponent's life points equal to the monster's attack". Basically, if the enemy have that kind of pesky monster that can be brought back from the graveyard due to his effect, keep destroying it.

So if Timaeus the Knight of Destiny copies the ATK of the strongest monster on the field, what if The Wicked Avatar is on the field? Does it pull anime shenanigans and increase infinitely, or is just whatever The Wicked Avatar's ATK was at the time of the attack?

10:43 That's a negatory, this arc is non-canon filler, so it has no baring on the main plot of the canon story. They just made the Knights look like the Duelists as an aesthetic choice.

During your Main Phase: You can Fusion Summon 1 Fusion Monster from your Extra Deck, using monsters from your hand or field as material, including a Spellcaster monster. You can only use each effect of "Timaeus the United Dragon" once per turn. The card's name is a reference to "Timaeus the Knight of Destiny". The effect as well is based on how "The Eye of Timaeus" is used for the Fusion Summon of Fusion Monsters involving the "Dark Magician" archetype.

Its effect isn't necessarily a reference to the creation of Blue-Eyes Tyrant Dragon is it is more so the dub referring to the effect as such. In the sub, there was no such Blue-Eyes Tyrant Dragon and it was simply Critias equipped to Blue-Eyes.

I personally actually think Legendary Knight Hermos lookes more like Kaiba and Legendary Knight Critias lookes more like Joey despite Joey being the owner of the Claw of Hermos and Kaiba the owner of the Fang of Critias

In the anime, Amulet Dragon increases its ATK by 300/Spell Card in the Graveyard Legend of Heart only requires a payment of 1000 LP instead
