The only guy able to reach Top 8 without playing Snake Eye cards. That last ban list really was a slap on the wrist. This guy was like Optimus Prime in Transformers: Dark of the Moon where's he's the only Autobot in the forest without back-up, and has to take on all of the Decepticons (Snake Eye) by himself. Awful movie but it gets the point across, Labyrinth is a good deck. It's also clearly going to get a major buff when Fiendsmith arrives. Not sure how 300 player regionals can have a Top 48 receive invites and "top", but "topping" is capped at Top 32 for YCS with upwards of 5 times the players. I saw that Yacine video before this one. Bubbling out at a YCS must be a horrible feeling.

As someone who has been out of the game since 2012 until last summer, how hard is lab to learn and be proficient in?

It's a deck that requires one to be patient and be smart with their activations. It's a control deck, so you try to manage resources. I'd say it's a mid-level deck to learn and be proficient.

I think the argument is that it doesn't synergize too well with either Back Jack nor Arias. Might see more use in builds that don't rely on those cards as much, like the unchained build or ones that run the pink maid for additional ways to get in into the grave, besides just discarding it for furniture.

I despise this deck so much, my last match with Lab at locals lasted about 40 minutes for the first game…So much resetting and it just never ended. It’s a chore facing lab but here I am, educating myself with the build so I can understand my opponent better so I can hopefully win one of the match ups at regionals.

If you play back jack he is your dedicated discard so its alot more of a liability

It's in a pretty weird spot this format. I've still been playing it some but I side it out pretty much every g2 and 3. Makes a lot of game states harder to win and if you're playing the more trap heavy build you shouldn't really need to be trying to go for like double big plays or anything. I think it's ok at 1 just to set off lady if you get HFD's so it'll keep interaction live from graveyard. As far as additional discard targets I've been enjoying black goat more since it can really mess with players going 2nd and if I draw it going first it's still a decent set.

Against SE i think you just want as many actual live cards as possible. At a local settings where there are far less % of Snake Eyes I think you can get away (and potentially better) with playing Rollback still.
