I love how this theme really represents how his....mind, heart, and soul are not only RAGING, but _FRACTURING._ This kid is absolutely falling apart at the seams, and he's not only fighting against us and the world, but against himself, and you can *_HEAR IT._* The deep bass chanting and the deep brass show off the rage and anger, but then you've also got the tenor/s and higher baritone/s and lighter pitch elements that sing above that, weaving in throughout it, showing vulnerability and pain, CRYING OUT for help, SCREAMING for someone to hear him. And the way the theme goes back and forth between the 2 (and all the in between), gradually leaning more and more heavily towards the dark heavy rough rage shows his psychological descent into what I like to call the psychotic _"Y'know what? _*_T'HECK_*_ with it all! Let's just _*_BLOW EVERYTHING TO HELL!!"_* state very wonderfully. And with the whole gorgeous Gothic orchestra & chanting, mixed with the electric techo almost dubstep elements, mixed with Japanese style melody gives this song a really unique but AWESOME flavor!

Phase 2 slaps but honestly, Phase 1 is underrated, like it just sets the tension and builds everything up. Yu-Peng Cheng is an absolute GENIUS

It's kind of interesting to think of the cultural influences on every harbinger we've faced so far in their music. Childe had chinese instruments in the beginning only for them to be muted out by Russian instruments and some electronic notes for his delusion. Signora started with Russian instruments but the ice melted and she went to German Metal and opera like Mondstat, finally we have Scaramouch who's conflict isn't really with Sumeru but has ambitions to use the Fatui, we get the fatui melody from signora but it becomes distorted through EDM and the Inazuma theme for what he really wants to be, a replacement to Ei.

6:55 i absolutely love those parts, it's strange almost nobody mentioned them

Someone pointed out that the noise at 2:20 represented a heart beat and if that’s true, then they really put so much thought into his theme. His entire story essentially revolves around him trying to find his “heart” and at this stage, the Gnosis was the closest thing he had to it; it was what he was initially created for, after all.

The main singer's elegant, melodic and just angelic young voice that sounds like Scaramouche's voice is everything! It's like Scaramouche is singing about himself. In the phase II his voice goes from sad, lonely and tired, giving the theme a note of melancholy, to desperate, to mechanical, insane and scary, fitting Scaramouche's story from his past to the current moment. It's Scaramouche's voice actor singing, right? Also, 8:11 gives me a strong wish to hug Scaramouche - he sounds so tired and hurt here😢

Look me in the eyes and tell me this isn't the best theme in Genshin. Not just even sound wise like the way this just so painfully and beautifully represents Scara has me in awe. The way he sings in both Japanese and Latin to represent his Inazuman heritage and life as a Harbinger and the electro, robotic distortion to his voice to show his transformation I just will never shut up about it. Yu-Peng Chen and HoYoMix never fkn miss

I love how both Raiden and Scara both have dubstep and trap influences in them. Really signifying their connections

Something I like about Scaramouche's leitmotif is that it's kinda an inverted version of the Fatui Harbingers' leitmotif, where as one's notes go up, the other's goes down (Scaramouche's leitmotif: 5:43 Harbingers' leitmotif: 7:22 ) Kinda symbolizes to me that if this artificial god ended up finally being completed, it would be just as big of a problem for the Fatui as it is for everyone else 🤔

8:05 I teared up at this part, it's so beautiful. The lone melancholic notes, rather minor keys and the shifts to major baroque(?) melodies sounding like a classical piece along with the choir, before finally taking it out on the high note. Idk how to explain it, it's almost like he's telling a story about himself, the pain and loneliness, desperate and crying out for help but no one calls back, then realizing he's abandoned, fury fills him until he finally resolves to seek power by himself and make himself present and known to the world. Sorry if this doesn't make any sense and my English is bad :")

This is arguably one of the best boss themes I've ever heard. I only recently started Genshin and wasn't expecting too much honestly, but both the insane OST and interesting story have enveloped me completely. Hearing this was icing on the cake.

He is from Inazuma, travelled to Snezhnaya, works for the fatuis all over the world, get a final betrayal in Sumeru and have some flashback at the first identity before study again, at Sumeru. Mr.Worldwide

This music is perfect if you go into the boss fight blind. Makes you all jumpy trying to figure out the puzzle and getting obliterated by his ultimate.

The first phase battle theme in beta was so scuffed I'm glad the finalized one lived up to the hype of the battle

Best designed boss in the entire game. Great music, attack patterns that are decently challenging but not unfair (staring at Azdaha) and are readable (staring at the rest of the weekly bosses, minus stormterror), great use of game mechanics, can be played with any characters in spite electro resistance due to the Akasha buddy being able to do damage, playing on co-op doesn't change the difficulty of the boss due to hp scaling and the boss can't be melted immediately. Oh, and the fight is actually fun to play (Unlike Raiden, La Signora, and Azdaha)
