his ancestrial father was one of the kings of demon world. he came to human world a long time ago to eat humans but fell in love with one and she had a kid and yusuke is related to them. Yusuke was the only person strong enough in the line of people related to Rizen, his ancestrial father, to use the demon power. its all explained in the final saga of this series, the Three Kings Saga

I've watched the entire series several times through, and I STILL think "holy fucking shit" every time I see this fight. Hundreds of new action anime have been released since YYH, and yet this fight still blows everything else out of the water.

I've been looking for this for like year now. Yusuke' demon father and the blind demon are the only characters that can really give hard time to Goku or even beat him. It was in 2007 when I last watched this. I miss it so much!

I absolutely loved this episode! This was one of my favorite episodes of YYH. Actually, my only regret was that Yusuke was obviously starting to lose to Sensui before his final transformation. After transforming, I actually didn't think Yusuke got to wallop on Sensui long enough. Sensui royally pissed me off with his smug holier-than-thou mentality and thinking he was such hot shit because of his low S-class powers. Still kind of felt sorry for Sensui at the end when he died.

+TononoGuedes yeah but he thinks it is, you just can't argue with that because see, it's his personal taste so let's leave it at that. If you ask me, i also think that Bleach is better but not the whole Bleach anime, just the first arc, the Soul Society arc where Ichigo goes to save Rukia, after that i believe it went downstream, and not just because of the amounts of filler but the story itself. There were some good moments here and there but, you know. But i am liking the last arc that is going on right now in the manga, it seems Bleach is coming back, or so it seems, just hope they will animate it, but who knows, right? Yu yu hakusho deserves a remake though, i mean they gave dragonball one and it didn't even need one, db/z already had nice animation and stuff, i didn't even watch Kai, and they also gave one to HxH, but that turned out great

i loves those momments when the main charactere gets all of sudden a cool demon form and kicks some majure ass those are the best momments when hollow ichigo takes over ichigos body,when naruto gets some tail,when meliodas uses some demon and best of when inu yashas demon blood takes over

Loved this ep so much as a kid Yusuke was so Beastly. and I see the DBZ vs YYH goin on. but guys seriously lets put badassery aside and our own personal biases away. Goku would win and I'm not sayin tht cuz I'm a DBZ fan I'm sayin that because look at the facts ok Goku can do to many things for me to list and while yusuke is very impressive he still would be no match for Goku

If Yusuke fought with this kind of intensity in his earlier fights he wouldn't be all beaten up by those demons in the dark tournament. Not that he had demon powers back then but this kind of intensity is rare in Yu Yu Hakusho.

Well, in terms of power, Raizen was equal to Yomi and Mukuro upon his death, with each being at an upper S-class level. Sensui was only at lower S-class, mid S-class level at best. So even if he fought Raizen before Raizen's death, he still would've been beaten.

@beny904 impossible this form only appeared because Raizen who fully realized his power possessed Yusuke. Even after a year of training at the level yusuke trained at I doubtfully he actually had full control.

gotta admit. it's awesomely done. imo YYH is the best US dub anime out there. now im downloading it in dual audio to watch it all over. japanese dub will help my language study greatly and the US dub will provide an awesome entertainment. never seen Trigun with eng dub, but i think i'll take a look at it

@KingD628 A real storyline because im sure most of those characters wouldnt just participate in a martialarts tournament for fun, like Kenpachi would do lol, they need a reason 2 participate like for ichigo they kidnap orihime, and theres a need for villans like Naraku join forces with Aizen something like that.
