If I have a=4.3M and f=5M is it still possible? I know from your formula it doesnt work. Do you have any advice?

not enough space. "a=430 & f=500" you can try b=53 (x 8 panel) d=30 e=16 (depend your automatic motor size) c=99 a+c=529 (f is still 29cm longer)

how long is your "a" in metres, am assuming your length is in "feet", making it around 5.48metres

yes, around 5.47~5.48 m. for each around 1 m

Of course, the bigger d is the better, so that it goes smoothly. My gate panel is 3’, so d is 2’ which is ideal. If the gate penal is smaller, then d can be smaller.
