my sister was in the chinese orchestra when she was in high school, and i’d always listen to her practice the erhu in the evenings when she comes home from school. the first time i watched her perform in the school concert, i was blown away by how the whole ensemble brought the notes on the music sheet to life. 华胥一梦 really hit the spot for me. thank you for this amazing playlist, please never stop! thank you for listening! i'm glad you like the playlist. re: oriental being offensive, i'm chinese and i used oriental as a translation for 古风 (gufeng), which means a traditional style of music. tho the term oriental is offensive when describing a person, it can be applied to food, art, and in this case, music (all objects). thinking about the translation now tho, traditional and ancient are both pretty good translations that i'll probably use for future videos! anyways, thanks for listening!
