Can someone explain how rex and Weevil snuck The seal of Oricalcos along with it's order into the Tournament?...also who put the death penalty in this?! What deal with the shadow realm did you make?!

YouShow explained during the live show that they didn't get the whole plot figured out from the beginning, so the first episode has quite a bit of inconsistencies with the rest of the tournament. Also, it has not been confirmed yet, but I think the reason the duellists "die" is because the tournament in itself is a huge field of Orichalcos claiming the souls of the defeated players for Dartz plan. Reiji figured that out, and is planning to use the tournament to train up a new army to fight Doma's organization

According to the printing of the anime effect by Upper Deck, The Seal of Orichalcos can be discarded to negate and destroy 1 card. Whether it's a quick effect or not is unknown.
