Depending of how many cards he had left, it might be a reasonable bet (after top decking card of demise) he only needs to draw into soul release + newborn magic.

THIS is one of my absolute favorite duels in Yugioh. While it may be filler, this is Kaiba's shining moment where he's center stage and PROVES TO EVERYONE why he is the best (second only to the Pharaoh who has been empowered to win everything by Divine decree)

Things to consider here. 1. He planned a whole many steps combo just by looking the card he just drew, Including the math for Broomhilde's ATK points and Sieg's and his own LP. All of that within a second. 2. He predicted he'd draw those exact cards and he did.

Well actually because he just need to end the game in that turn. He don't really need to predict the number of cards, to he safe he could said he will use 6 or 10 card, gain that many life points and it would make 0 difference

1 is awesome indeed. Especially for earlier Yu-Gi-Oh! The modern game has many combos like this and turns lasting much, much longer. 2 is however too much of a 'heart of the cards' like ass pull to my liking.

@@kayra460 The VA duel in 2016 has an example: he faces Chaos Emperor Dragon, Card of Demise and Return from the Different Dimension, along with Obelisk The Tormentor (taken by Lullaby of Obedience) and manages to win. However, in the VA duel from 2019, he had to rely on a 1400 ATK Exodia the Legendary Defender taking out Giant Germ to win; though only because Kaiba played Crush Card Virus with an effect even more than the anime's, if he hadn't, Yugi could have summoned that weird Exodia with enough ATK to defeat Kaiba's Blue-Eyes Alternate Ultimate and Chaos Max Dragon even if somehow they combined their ATK.

This was easily my favorite comeback turn I've ever seen in the anime, but SO much had to go right for this to work. Kaiba had to be psychic to guess he'd happen to be able to play 4 spells and that all those moves were about to be made.

Not really. He uses the card he draws to pull specific cards from his deck, and then pull specific cards from the graveyard. Provided he knows what cards are still in the deck and still in the graveyard it's not at all unreasonable that he can ensure the combo will go off from the moment he drew the first card. Basically, he knows he can use the first spell card to play the other 3. There is no randomness in getting those other 3 into play once the first spell card is played.

The best part of this duel is how they represent how much Kaiba love his Green-Ey... I mean Blue-Eyes, if he had atacked with 1 Blue-Eyes, instead of Luster Dragon, he would lose less LP, but the dragon would be destroyed, he choose to keep his 3 Blue-Eyes at the end, even destroying Chaos Dragon that is a better card...

If this were me with Kaiba's deck, my draws with Card of Demise probably would have been La Jinn the Mystical Genie of the Lamp, Kaiser Seahorse, De-Fusion, Ring of Destruction and Peten the Dark Clown. That's just amazing what Kaiba was able to pull there.
