I remember back in 2003/2004, me and my dad went to an oriental market to go grocery shopping and they were selling the GBI god cards along with other yugioh cards there. I asked my dad if he could buy Slifer and he said he would if I showed him I had straight A's in school. In other words, he was basically telling me "you ain't getting shit until you earn it." He was also aware of how popular these cards were. I was really upset because Slifer was right in front of me in the 99 Ranch oriental market and you cannot get it in any other store at that time. You were basically the king in school and were also a main target to get jacked if you had at least one of the god cards, especially if you had Slifer. Now, I have a near mint secret rare GBI Slifer The Sky Dragon and a near mint secret rare G4 Winged Dragon Of Ra. I really really treasure those cards even though they're not that special anymore. I'm not gonna consider getting them psa graded since I'm not gonna use it to sell it for profit. I've had Slifer since 2011 and that will probably be the one I will keep forever.

I've kind of grown out of Yu-Gi-Oh now but decided to watch the series as I came across it on Netflix. I used to love the series as a child but could never buy authentic cards. Not that I cared. My parents would always get me cheap cards from a market and I would always be so happy to open up my new deck when we got home. I certainly would like to look for my old fake cards when I get the chance to go home again. I think I may want to get into Yu-Gi-Oh again and actually buy real cards now. What I'm trying to say is, I haven't grown out of Yu-Gi-Oh as I thought.

It is also worth saying the difference between ultra rare and secret rare with the god cards. Ultra rare bring the ones you are holding, which have a more standard holo finish. The secret rares have the speckled holo foil effect and a metallic silver for the font, rather than the gold of the ultra rare

So I’ve got these same god cards you have the whole set, bought them years ago. Are they worth anything now? I know there’s 2 version but mine has the Gold text same as yours.

By far the easier way to tell is that the real gods say “Divine” as their attribute, and the fakes usually say “Gold”

I had every single card from the first 2 years they came out when I was a kid. Gave them away to a friend all these years later full regret lol.

It’s so crazy that the fake god cards from the early to mid 2000s actually go for A LOT of money these says!! They were actually the first ones to hit the US and were very popular. In my opinion they look nice than the real ones and my collection of them will always hold a special place in my heart!!

Hey I got my Egyptian god cards like 6 years ago and on the bottom left corner it says “This card cannot be used in a duel” and in the part where yours say GBI mines says on the left “LIMITED EDITION” and on the right of that it says “LC01” and I’m just wondering if they’re fake or real.

I wish you'd do a video like this for the Secret Rare version of this set. I own all 3 in NM condition and am 100 percent sure they're authentic. After owning them for almost a decade it would still be satisfying to reaffirm the fact they're real though.

Man I got the Ra GBI UR one, and could you explain it to me why'd it silver marked at bottom right of the card if it was Limited? And then what is GBI? About the price, how much it can reach when it UR, not PSA yet, and seems aged? And how about if it PSA, and still in good condition? If you go to Yu-Gi-Oh! TC Games do u need to have the Real Cards or Fake cards to play or you can have both.

I bought 3 Egyptian god cards but they’re LDK not GBI. They’re playable unlike the unplayable ones in this video. Everything on them seems legit except their backs look like regular card backs (brown rather than red/blue/yellow and they have Konami logo and Yu-Gi-Oh trading card game logo). i have the g4 secret parallel rare set in near mint condition cost me 160 only thing wrong is a slight bend on the ra that pretty much unnoticeable unless you look at it proper close

Well I thought they came in a booster pack like labyrinth of nightmare or invasion of chaos or yeah it was the labyrinth nightmare with final and Thats how you get the secret rare because my friend pull it back when it said magic card not spell

Can someone confirm something for me. I've been looking at God cards on Amazon and came across a slyfer the sky dragon. It says its the real deal and also two reviews (who say they know what they are looking for) left reviews saying this is the real deal as it doesn't have kinomi or yugioh written on the back (like it should be) they claim. I can't spot an obvious fake but I'm 100% certain that the REAL cards do in fact have kinomi and yugioh written on the backs but I'm not sure if the God card are different? BTW these would be the original non-playable versions of the god cards. Can anyone confirm if im mistaken or the reviewers are.

I just purchased a Winged Dragon of Ra gbi003. Is it supposed to have a glossy finish across the entire card? I looked at the text and stars, they seem to be fine. But the glazed finishing is suspect.

My cards look incredibly real. The only thing that bothers me is no black line over the ATK and DEF. I had my dad get these when I was roughly 10.
