I'm a big fan of YUI since i was high school, now i'm 32. The very first time I heard her voice singing Goodbye Days, my heart melt and instantly felt in love with her voice. Then her songs become anime openings, it was awesome then after that some become OST for popular J movies. Till now no matter if she has quit singing, I will always be your fan. Thank you for all your lovely and inspiring songs.

She meant about previous record company and music industry made her "IDOL".She didn't wanna be puppet for marketing.She is strong and she made the right decision no matter what people/fans say "i miss old yui" That's why i love and respect her. She is a one of a kind.She is definitely not a just a idol or singer. She is a professional singer/song writer who can write songs whatever she wants. If you listen to her song, "high way chance" or other songs. You know what she was saying which hit me so hard...I relate to what she was saying so much when i had struggle to live in this corruped society.. Always love you who you are. She can't say here everything what she wanted to say. I dislike japanese these type stupid interviewer.I mean this is their job tho. In any country, music and movie, any industry force artists change to someone else.

Hi from Ukraine. Peace to all of you. I have started listening to her when I was at a university, so when I was about 16. I am 34 now and I like her vibe, her songs, her performances. I thank her for her art.

I started listening to Yui when I was like 16, had to go to an internet cafe just to listen to her, and always bought myself delicious peach gummies. Now the problems I had back then I realize were so dumb. Regardless, I will never not love Yui. Her voice, her personality, her passion, her message, her feeling. It's like.... a soul of a puppy.
i hope she is not feeling the same these days. i just wish her happiness and continue what she loves doing.

Same with you, mates! I started listening to YUI when I was 16. Now I’m 32 :) and her songs are the only Japanese songs that I could memorize by heart. She was & is my inspiration, the reason why I’ve composed songs & played the guitar in my teenage years and continued up until now.

Rather than burnout, i think she mostly felt frustrated that she couldnt do what style for her own songs the way she wants to do, need to produce songs in every 2 months and being controlled mostly by her company .. Sadly, shes one of the most talented artist, but they milking profit by pressuring her... -_-

Big Love from Korea ❤
Yes exactly.. The fact that she needs to produce songs : singles every 2-3 months and full album every single year, non-stop live performances.. This is so sad :( Shes such a multitalented artist but the comp broke her a lot.. :( also she cant do much street performances as much as she loves to do..

Yeh? Limit ? She needs to know "ducky walk". Walk with the ducks. The real life bird's. It's the only way out to enlightenment. They are silent sight creatures. When you are silent sight with them. They take over your music. When you play the recording back, you are looking at them, being puwitr roop, true form. Make it easier for yourself. Know the difference. When you respect Nihon-Japon from far away, you find: Hsien fooka-toku. Easy, Yui. "Puwitr roop, keval ek drsti dekh.". The true virtue form, = the only clear sight. Hey Yui. I still listening to you. Bye bye.
I have listened to both. Yui has been strongly influenced by Avril and this type of Western folk pop music isn't popular in Japan. Japanese are crazy about mainstream music like K-Pop. Japanese artists that have real singer songwriter abilities are often not very popular Chihiro Onitsuka, Rie Fu, Milet, YUI etc
@dollyjay4585 Жыл бұрын
YUI debuts in 2005 and she's very popular since then throughout her solo career all her singles got spot no 1 in oricon chart. She is no 1 artist in sony music. The way she decided to stop her solo career because the management overworking her to the point she got anxiety and panic attack and got hospitilized twice during her career so she decided to take a break 6 months in 2008 and resume her works in 2009. Also another reasons she already stated in this vid she been asked to do musics in the way she doesnt want to. Do reminder she stopped her solo career in 2012 during her peak of popularity and that time kpop slowly dominating but she still very well known. But 2013, she continue her singing career but not as solo, she create FLOWER FLOWER band with diff genre and image from YUI and still active till now but she's tone down all the activities bacause she has family now.
@user-sc3oh1bw4zАй бұрын
just like what previous reply said. YUI WAS VERY POPULAR. she even had overseas concert back then. back then before mainstream music platform exist, and when japan still gatekept their musics from overseas fans. you just don't know it.
