Am I the only one who felt more emotional from this scene compared to the end? Might just be me, but Yui hit harder than expected. Maybe cause we got a reasoning for why she is how she is

I just don't get this. Why? 1. They're not the same characters, they've been reincarnated, they would be completely different people. Yes, they could have a bond that transcends death, but it still wouldn't be say, Yui and Hinata. They're dead and gone... ... Ohhh, I just made myself sad... 2. It'd just be a bog standard slice of life anime, which is fine and all, but I don't see any reason to change Angel Beats into one. I actually saw someone that wanted to see a season where everyone meets up and *gets their memories back* ... I was like, "Do you have ANY idea the problems that would cause?"

@@allenharper2928 fair, but it'd probably be more like an ova instead of a full sequel. That and we got teased by the little end scene on the last episode. I don't think they should get their memories back though.

This damn anime wormed it's way into my heart like no other, to the point at least yearly I reactivate my Crunchyroll account and the first anime I click on is Angel Beats, and it affects me the same damn way every time. Me, a 46 year old man with a full time job and a car payment, sitting in the dark with the volume turned down cause I don't want someone to hear I'm watching an anime for the 50 billionth time, sniffling like a baby because some pink haired Moe girl came to terms with her death and disappeared, and refusing to leave the room until I'm absolutely sure not a single tear streak is left in my face. Sorry, started rambling a bit there... I would love for there to be more, I could even get behind a second season with entirely new characters, but I'm afraid it would just prove it was a lightning strike and couldn't ever happen again.

@@allenharper2928 Yeah, it'd be hard to follow up Angel beats tbh. Only thing you could do with the main characters would be like showing segments of them meeting as their reincarnated selves actually living fulfilled lives. Just a bit more maybe. Because I loved what they did with Yui and Hinata. I hope they meant that that actually happened because if not I'd be heartbroken. Yui deserves that happiness.

Not necessarily all of them together. Yui and Hinata, Okazaki and Kanade, Naoi and a loving family, maybe in a weird twist after what happened with them, Naoi and Yuri could be younger brother and older sister in their new lives? Of course they wouldn't have the same names. Except I feel like it'd be hilarious if TK still had the name TK.

Like I can't tell you how many anime I've avoided because I saw just ONE scene on youtube that's sad or depressing lmao. All because I watched some sad shit when I was super young and didn't want to experience that feeling again. It's getting better and I can handle sad/depressing shit now but still, ya know?

I remember I had to rewind this part like 3 times. I just couldn’t understand what was happening. Promises of marriage down to the little details from Hinata then BAYUM! Yui’s gone. My heart sank. Had to take a break from the anime for a bit. Good writing.
