This past Tuesday, my grandpa passed away in his sleep. We had been taking care of him in his bed for several months and it was heartbreaking to see him go yet a blessing to see him freed from his pain and reunited with his wife. The reason I'm posting this is because I felt like saying that one of the times I was sitting by his side as he slept, I felt it would be nice to keep him company with some soft music. I had bought several songs by Yuki Kajiura on itunes with my Ipad mini and I was playing through that list. Surprisingly, he had been awake for a little bit and heard some of the songs. He asked me about it briefly and I just told him the bare basics of what I knew. Well, he went back to sleep after saying it was real pretty. This was the last conversation I had with him. So, if someone somehow comes into contact with Yuki, maybe by finding a site of theirs, let them know for me that my grandpa enjoyed their music and I'm thankful to them for being such amazing artists.

For the keen ear, can you hear that the flute is recorded, and the flute player wanted to be there that evening but couldn't come to the concert. Yuki Kajiura is a genius not even losing one player.... A masterpiece even with one person sick at home.

Incredible song for an incredible series. Xenosaga has changed my life in a great way and Kajiura's OST will forever be a part of it.
