An extended version of the song "Yamiyo no Prologue" by Yuki Kajiura.
I tried to make something decent...Not sure if it worked.
P.S : This is not a self-made version as in, with different instruments and all. It's only a sort of longer version I made using the original song, nothing more. c:

Je suis transportée, cette musique est tout simplement magique. Elle est d'une telle intensitée. *0* Yuki kajiura a vraiment assurée sur ce coup là non pas que ces autre composition était moin bien mais cette musique est surement une de ses plus belle comosition.

Mai-Hime is a perfect example of anime where music made it so much better than it truly was. Bad/semi-decent anime turned to decent/semi-good anime.

I think (and its just a guess based on my poor japanese skills) that maybe (just maybe xD) Yamiyo means dark (or darker, dunno) night. It would turn out to be the "dark night's prologue" or something like that. But again, I can be mistaken and 'Yamiyo' means something like 'potatoes' and I'm telling you nonsense >///

Like when this soundtrack kick in and saw the dragon That was badass Sadly the rest sucked (cast, plot, etc) Pretty much the dragon and the music was badass

I disagree. What I liked about "Mai-HiME" was the whole concept of it. The source of HiME's power. I mean Mai is OP. Pure and simple. But the reason why she is so OP is because while all of the HiME suffer, her life is just pure hell. She keeps working to pay for her brother's hospital bill. Everything she cares about gets taken away from her. She's left with nothing in the middle of the fight she'd rather have nothing to do with. And all this pain, all this darkness is what makes Kagutsuchi so freaking powerful. I mean look how big Duran got when Natsuki realized what's her most precious thing and when that thing was about to get taken away from her. The reason why Kagutsuchi was so powerful is because Mai was fully aware what she cares about. And that thing was unreachable. She was unable to help her brother. And then her romance with Yuuichi added to the pain, making Kagutsuchi so powerful that no other Child could possibly stand a chance against him. And that's the mistake Nagi have made. He underestimated the power behind Mai's pain. And the reason he underestimated it is because Mai was hiding it all.
