Yul talks about everyone but himself. He's truly a kind human being who is so articulate and caring. I'm so impressed with Yul as a person. Forget about Survivor. This is a great man and someone who should be admired. His awareness of what truly matters in life is amazing. He's a role model for others and he doesn't even realize it!

Yul (and Natalie) are exactly what's wrong with Survivor. Someone who gets kicked off mid-season but immediately afterwards is found literally SAVING THE REAL WORLD doesn't have a chance against the most devious players of all-time in today's Survivor universe. The way the show is played Survivor values the worst of human nature. Nasty, brutish, and cruel is what this show extols. Especially now, the producers owe the world a show that punishes those who choose to deceive and reward those kind souls who won't weaponize everything including food in order to win. Like Yul notes, longitudinal studies show, human nature is progressively more loving than cruel overall. People really do want to see the good guy or gal or person win.

@@Stress-Free-K i agree completely except that you include natalie in that . Natalie is not a nice person from the things ive read. She went off on yul and made comments about his people and rice. Not cool. She was super deceptive on the edge. Stole dannis peanut butter and lied and didnt have good relationships with most ppl on the edge. She is nowhere in the same universe as yul in my opinion

@@Rp10101 Well if that's true, the rice comments are waaay over the line. I don't know about all the backstories, which would be sad if true. So sad Survivor brings out the worst in people by design. Seems like Yul was one of the few to say above the fray and remain true to his values. All the more reason to change the game. Make the tribal councils about revealing the deceivers and recognizing true merit.

Who do you think are the bullies on the edge aside from Nat?
@callanjs
@callanjs 4 жыл бұрын
@@Claaarize i'm guessing a bunch of old schoolers were annoyed by adam's game style (parvati, boston rob)... and maybe someone like tyson was frustrated by yul's strong position at dakal... but I wouldn't call them bullies, just a bunch of bigger threat players who were stuck halfway out of a game where they didn't show their strengths

@fianle

@@callanjs It's unlikely that it was Rob since the only person who has outright said they had issues with him this season was Sarah, and that was based on hearsay. On Reddit Adam has said he was willing to work with Rob and tried to save him, and hasn't said anything negative about him outside of his attempt at the buddy system since it prevented Adam from convincing anyone to work with them. Danni hasn't had anyone say bad things about her except Natalie. Ethan has had only good things said about him and is regularly doing stuff with other players. Amber was mentioned in the Natalie/Yul argument since she was hungry too, but she didn't go off like Natalie. Tyson and Parvati are the real unknowns, but Tyson was in the main game when the arguments really started happening on Edge.
@MrChaseBlue

Crazy to think if Yul found out about the theme for Cook Islands before he got to the island he would have quit. I’ve always felt that Yul should have been a hero on Heroes v Villains. His game play (ie using his idol to save all of the Aitu four) and his work and things like the bone marrow drive make him much more heroic than the men (and all the women except Cirie) on the heroes tribe, who simply fit the “hero” archetype.

I think that Yul was definitely isolated from the others castaways. Even at the edge of extinction, he was not part of the group that consisted of Parvati, Rob, Tyson, Ethan, Amber. In addition, none of the players, except for Nick, interact with him on Instagram, while the rest of them share pictures or go live streaming. Anyway, I really like him, Yul is one of the most humble and clever person on Survivor. Would have loved to see him win this time

I must say Yul was the best player for me for a long time and it was because his strategy. It was obvious that he was just using incredibly what he has learned for his whole life. He applied his leadership style as he would apply in company and it worked. So leading his team and getting Jonathan to vote with them won his game and that was the best winning I've ever seen until Tony winning in WaW. Truth is he had overpowered idol, but if it would have been normal idol, he would use it when they needed Jonathan. In Winners at War he was kinda unlucky, because he was voted out right before merge and couldn't buy an advantage and farm fire tokens. And I remember him being voted out, because they saw him too smart and too strategic. Tony's game was perfect and I'd put Yul to second place as the best winner. I think he inspired a lot of people personally and much more people who have been watching him as me.
