It’s been a few years since I first played this game. It was a little bit after I first played the original Yume Nikki and was recommended it by some people in the community. And since then, this area and its music stuck out to me the most. There’s just something about it that’s calming and surreal. It’s amazing how many beautiful things were made by some people who wanted to pay tribute to a game they found. Yume Nikki forever!

Damn, that's how this area makes me feel, surreal yet calming

It's so inspiring to me that this ancient game is still actively developed by new contributors. Apparently over 50% of all worlds in the game were added since (iirc) 2020, which is crazy

@@luviana_ It’s been years of me playing this game on and off and I still haven’t gotten the 70% completion needed for the final ending. This game is insane.

Only 2 instruments, yet so powerful. The power of music

What even is the other instrument? It sounds like some sort of stabby noise, and obviously a guitar. What's the other sound?

@@luviana_I'm not even sure if it's an instrument. It could also be a voice sample.

@@VoicelessBeats Listening again I think its just a guitar stab and a cymbal hit. So, guitar and cymbal. The guitar stab is a high pitch bent note that has echo on it. There's also a bass tone being played with each stab. And of course, obviously there's a melody being played too. There are two cymbal hits for the two stabs in the song: First cymbal hit is a hi hat pedal, and the second one is the same hi hat pedal but with another bell sound layered on. I think the bell sound is just a cymbal being struck in the center. This typically produces a bell sorta sound. The pedal sound has echo, but the bell sound does not.

Nostalgic. Reminds me of Summer, especially when I'm inside of my small beach tent watching waves and the Sun slowly setting, all this while I'm still next to my parents

I feel like when it comes to Yume 2kki, it portrays dreams better than the original. Like, the locations in the game are things I can actually see myself dreaming of, and I love that. Music is also just great, this game has the most underrated soundtrack ever
