He's going to be a massive star (he already is because his fans are rabid) and he's not just a contrived act. He is a true artist. Not just caring about how many followers on Instagram he has. Great reaction! Best on spot breakdown I've seen of this track. I've had this shit on repeat. It's quickly becoming a comfort song. One thing that took me a few listens to realize(too busy enjoying the overall sound) is the lyrical progression of the bridge from "I hate myself" to "you hate yourself" to "we hate ourselves" he really puts every thing into his music. I think dude is straight up rock star. Although Idk how he can top this on the album I assume is coming shortly haha

Same. I heard Billy Idol in the opening strings, then I heard the Clash's frenetic energy, the Cure's lyricism, and just an amalgamation of so many influences from 80s britpop and britrock that I felt I went back to the 80s.

I agree so much, I felt Bowie/billy idol and The cure as well which is amazing in Yungblood fashion! This song is pure happiness as well, reminds me of the joy of Friday I'm in Love by The Cure.

Feel like yungblud is a modern day legend- doesn’t give a F about anything that’s not true to himself, songs all can relate to in ways, talented & unique. But he also is funny as and seems like a genuinely good guy. I remember when the bushfires cancelled the Falls festival here in vic he quickly found a venue in Melbourne & with Halsey put on a show donating the proceeds to fire victims.

Do listen to his other stuff, I cannot listen to radio shit and have always struggled with finding ‘lighter’ music than what I listen to all the time. Came across him and love what he does. 21st liability has some amazing songs on it. I need lyrical content to keep me interested, his lyrics are heavy and he sings about real shit. His unplugged ep is amazing. I probably love that era of his stuff more because it was more gritty and less ‘pop’ but I think he is like a big human puppy dog and how can you not love that 🖤🖤🖤

I love Yunblud but am always confused about the dynamic. He has been asked if it's a band but has always said no its just me. The man can play pretty much everything.... Oh yeah, he's a fucking real musician. But I'd love to know how he brings it together as a solo act. I think that's probably why he works so well in feats with other bands. MCG and Avril as well as many others. I think he so cool. Also, he works like a fucking coal miner and is as depressed as one as well. My kind of artist. To the depressed.
