the 3rd house the 4 bed one - was amazing. Loved the stained windows and ceiling roses.

The 3rd house was a 3 bedroom student accommodation, not 4 bedrooms. You are mistaking one for another.

Exactly, it was the best out of the lot for me. Truly turn-key at an affordable price. Even if they can't sell it later, they can rent it out.

In the 80s everyone was stripping the doors and trim to get back to the natural wood ,If it was painted then as suggested it would most probably be stripped bare again as this episode is 20 years old ,
