This is Yoruba country music. I love Sakara music unfortunately the music is dying. I don't know any younger generation playing similar music.

May his soul Rest In Peace! Each time I listen to this Volume 4, memories of my late father and all members of Ifelodun Adeoyo came to my mind. Virtually, all of them have gone including Yusuf himself. Anyone that thumps down on this type of lyrics is not Yoruba or is one but do not have real root in Yoruba music and culture.

It's sad how we deeply appreciate this kind of music deeply rooted in culture and the grandeur of Yoruba language. Yet none of us could string together a single sentence in Yoruba to talk about its beauty. The future of our language, culture and heritage is very bleak to the point of fear for those who think hard enough. O ba mi lokan je pupo wipe asha, ede ati ewa segbe.
@michaelolabisiraheem4703 Жыл бұрын
My brother God bless you. It is not only you, who is sad that Yoruba culture is fading away, most especially in Nigeria and those in the diaspora who will not encourage their children to learn the culture. And Asians will never joke about their culture, the same for eastern European living in western Europe. Only God will save our culture
@tundeojo27078 ай бұрын
This music typifies the wisdom in our lyrics. Apart from beauty and philosophy of our Yoruba language. When you listen to songs like these you are compelled to imbibe the omoluwabi ethos. Baba l'egba keep on resting in peace.

Im 31 have been a fan of this type of music since before 5.. because my dad died when I was 5.. this is the only thing I mostly recollect about my dad.. Sometimes I used to think like I'm not from this generation.. and again I'm from Ogun state but have not spent much time in Ogun state.. so this kind of musics return my heart back home.. I'm currently in ondo state.. but this music's makes me remember my dad and my home ... I will make sure my children get used to this..

Yusuf was more about personality not the money cos my grandpa was one of his most praised fan. I heard a lot stories about Yusuf there I got to know his real name was Joseph etc.
@tundealawal43982 жыл бұрын
@@boasbiggie8425I agree. A deep bond of friendship might be the reason but it does not hurt that that these men were sociable and prosperous. Also, I believe Yusuf is the Arabic equivalent of Joseph.

jemilat lawal, I first heard this melodic giant through public radio station during my nysc sojourn @ Ibadan. The music exposes how inter related our cultures are to each other which is set asunder by opportunist who killed all peaceful line even among the Yoruba's. I am not happy that Muslims entertainment culture is pushed down in the contemporary western region of the country.
