Dear Dr. Yuval Noah Harari, I am Palestinian with many relatives in Gaza and you are one of my few intellectual heroes. I only wish that one day we will both live in peace and no force (from your side or mine) will ever stop us from reaching a point in which we can publicly meet and have a discussion over coffee without fear of either side. Just like you made up with the Germans, we urge you as a great thinker to find a way for us to live in peace. It is not wrong (even if you’re not a politician) to run for office and the day that people like yourself can run a unified country will be a dream for me. Please be always part of the hope that we all are looking for when it comes to peace and the idea of a unified state for both nations should not be something impossible or far fetched but it will set a huge example of tolerance to the entire world and could potentially end world violence for a very long time. No matter what your opinion is, my respect for you transcends all boundaries. I hope that you will read my message. G-d Bless You ❤

@majorkuntz I don't think this has anything to do with Islam. You really never had any Muslim friends? It's a land dispute and we all wish for peace. You are of course entitled to your opinion but I am telling you really that peace is possible without asking Muslims or jews to stop being religious. My best friend is a Ukranian Jew FYI. I also love Jewish people and have no hatred towards them whatsoever. I hope that you will find a place in your heart that will make us as nations come together. We respect Jewish people as Muslims and observe their religion as coming from G-d too. But we need a unified secular state. That's the best possible answer to this tragedy. Peace be with you.

I am ALWAYS SO IMPRESSED by Yuval.... Sapiens is my Bible. If I ever got to meet him I would like to ask if he thinks that we humans will destroy ourselves before we figure out how to cooperate to avoid the existential dangers (climate, nuclear, AI, genetic engineering). I know he says there's always reason to hope because we can change the stories. And I know he says that it's difficult to predict the future. But.... with all of his insights and meditation on these topics, I would just like to know his gut feeling. I think his answer would influence how I guide (not scare) my own children. I'm thinking that no matter what endeavor you go into (science, business, art, etc), perhaps the ability to find and work towards cooperation (on many levels) may be more important than we realize. Instead of expecting our governments to be the force of cooperation.... maybe we need to understand and promote the importance of cooperation.

More over, being forced to learn new things constantly serves two greater purposes. First of all it gives us a feeling of constant progress, a worthy goal to work for, something to think about while keeping at bay negative thoughts and depression, a meaning to our infinitesimal lifes here in the Universe. It gives us if not happiness something very close to it. In second place, having to learn new things constantly stimmulates our Imagination (just like agriculture did while having to plan the future season harvest). Once more, thanks to your book (and native australians and Einstein) we all know where our Imagination (or dreams as native australians would say) has lead Humanity: To Capitalism, Communism, Social-Democracy, Monarchies, Democracies, Dictatorships, Money, Religions, Art, States, Nations, Philosophy or in other words: To run (and ruin sometimes) the world, to everywhere like Einstein said, TO PROGRESS.

Here is a prime example of what I mean when I say that yuval Harari will let you have a half-truth at best. He says “what I think it’s important for people to know about the Covid pandemic is that these pandemics began with the agricultural revolution” while they may have began that way through the dawning of expansive trade, there is a bigger cause for global pandemics in more modern times. Yuval Harari is not an idiot, I’m sure a person like him is well aware of what I’m about to convey, but left this important piece out by design. HERE IT IS…. Every time a mass communications technology has been rollec out to the world, a global pandemic can be directly linked to that very same time. All the way back to the telegraph / telegram era. If it were one time you not have noticed. Twice, maybe a coincidence, 3 times it’s getting weird, but every single time….. apparently the physical organic body of man and animal aren’t designed to best deal with this kind of thing. It’s not just causing global pandemic, but pandemics in animal populations, as well as other negative impacts on them which I will get to a few examples in a minute. It doesn’t just end at the mass use of cell phones for example, because if it were the phone itself, we would have likely not had the Covid pandemic. It is basically reset every time cell phone and electronic companies roll out a new generation of tech for “your phone” IE, 3G, 4G, 5G,. 5G is not just a tech for fast wireless communication, it essentially allows for a mass surveillance state that once you adopt through the coercive pressure from likely you cell service provider, you can not opt out of, no matter what. But that is another issue. When you look back on it. No matter what historical global, I will say for lack of a better term “flu-like sicknesses” there was a new communication technology rollout at haft same time. Swine flu, bird flu, Spanish flu, Covid 19, just to name a few. You name it, there was a communications tech rollout to accompany it. Covid 19 was ushered in by the adoption of 5G. And guess what….. as “luck” or maybe “fait” would have it, the first city in the world to be fully blanketed in 5G was….. you guessed it! Wuhan China. The problem appears to lye in schuman resonance. Or the lack there of. Not only are our bodies designed to operate at a very specific level of the electrical measurement of Hz. Called Schumann resonance. Not only do we optimally operate at this very specific frequency, but so do animals, and the earth itself, a good experiment to corroborate this, is; if you take a cordless land line phone and put it next to a colony of bees, not a single one will come back to the hive. I’m 41 years old and live in Pittsburgh. About 25 years ago or so I began to notice that in the dead of winter, I began to notice that I was seeing robins here in the dead of winter. When I was a kid, never once would you see such a thing. In the fall, you would see vast flocks migrating to warmer climates hundreds of miles to the south. But now a lot of them can’t seem to make sense of how to do it. It is common scientific theory now that the way a robin was designed to navigate and thus find its way south for the winter, is actually not through memory alone but through the use of what scientists explain as a sort of “heads up display” they were equipped with, similar to that which had been incorporated into modern day fighter jets. Unfortunately, their bodies, and even more so their internal navigation system, relies on Schumann resonance to operate properly. It may or may not be possible to ultimately adapt to a different resonance, I think more so, not possible, but even if it was, we are changing the frequency in the ether so often at this point, there is no chance of adapting. If it making us sick, bees, birds, and ultimately the earth itself, what else is happening thst we haven’t even considered…? Harari I’m sure is aware of these things, but he’s in bed with big tech, and has plainly laid out a design, making him the architect of the biggest architect of mass genocide the world will have ever known. Making Stalin, mao, pol pot, and hitler look like altar boys. He has a plan laid out to have AI or automation do every job on the planet. When asked what their plan was as to what to do with the humans, he says “the best thing we can come up with is to give them drugs and video games” make no mistake, if you were really familiar with this guys real ideals and plans for world, you’d run as far away from him as fast as you could.

It's true. Day by day we adult are worse prepared to teach our younger generations bc the future changes constantly very fast. It's true. Nowadays, like the right hand of Steve Jobs said, we are forced to be students constantly learning all our lifes. All this things, like so many, have both good and bad sides. The bad sides are pretty obvious. If no one is skilled enough to teach them youngsters their future can be compromised. For most people (me included) studying is not precisely pleasant. Even less if you are forced to do it. Even, Even less and less if you have to do it all your life. BUT there is also a good side to all of this. We adults not being anymore superior to our youngsters regarding knowledge and wisdom will force us all to cooperate regardless of our generation. This will lead to a bigger group of humans cooperating all together and thanks to your book we all know where this will lead: TO PROGRESS. More than ever. Never again no one will be in a position of power leading some to abuse anothers.

Peace and order and the progress they bring can only be achieved by agreeing all together what is fair/just and what's not (a story if you want. a common one). It ca only be achieved thanks to Justice. It's very difficult of course bc due to our selfish nature (Richard Dawkins) we only care for our interests while ditching the ones of others but if we only are lead by our selfishness there is no hope for peace, progress nor nothing at all. Agreeing all together about what is fair/just to achieve peace is so true that it's what we all do now (and also in the past but unfortunately for everyone in a minor scale) while making, accepting and respecting the laws ruling our countries. To avoid international conflicts we must increase the scale of the agreement. And of course have some kind of police to prevent or even punish someone who breaks that agreement on his/her own for his/her own benefit.

Hunter Gatherers also suffered pandemics. The difference was that instead of them damn viruses and germs spreading among thousands they spread among the twenty members of the tribe and the tribe died (not only five as you say. viruses know not about maths. they simply spread and spread). Simply thanks to agriculture the number of people was bigger and so the number of deaths.

You shepherd with smooth words, lies and deception, your seed is death. l Shepherd with righteousness, peace and truth, my seed is life. And this will be the sign to you. Look Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in the midnight hour, in the days after Passover. The zombies will be healed where they stand, set free from their severe bondage, and will glorify God in the streets with hands lifted high in worship and praise. Truly I tell you, the knowledge of the glory of God will cover the earth before it is said, “the godly one is gone and the faithful have vanished from among the children of men. My sense is that Yuval Harari would present it as much more nuanced and complex, where both sides face a terrible reality with no winners and no solution in sight. To your last point, you can love your country and not like what it stands for and what it is doing at the moment. There are many examples of that around the world today and throughout history.

I agree with much of what Mr. Harari said, except that I believe that wars are not ideological, but always about territory and resources. This is how it all began when the UN gave the Zionists almost half of Palestine, with all the expulsions that followed as a result (the Nakba). Ideology only serves to justify the acts.
