I love how Yuval doesn't fall into the thought traps of the left or the right. His perspective is on a whole other level. That's where we need to go.

Yuval speaks about the future of human race, of how we could possibly be "divine", maybe as one "hive mind" like superhuman, or maybe even go extinct. And things beyond our imagination. Larger than life themes. If Yuval fell into the stupid "Left vs Right" politics of today, that would be disappointingly petty for a public intellectual.

@@knallekalle9920 no he doesn’t speak about how we should become divine, he shows us how pointless it can be to become divine

I would read that book by Yuval Harari about the Middle Ages, since I like that topic. (I assume it is only available in Hebrew.) But I much appreciate the important work he is doing now and much enjoy his books and his talks.

Paying for news that are mass produced would just put the customers into their vendor's plate.

already paying for news with no regards of the attention it will get eliminates the need to produce media getting attention. BILD produces all those sensational news stories because it sells and makes money. if there is no longer a case to sell your story because it is already sold it might just solve the problem of all the hyper sensational competition in the media industry.

I must be clear that I do not like Döpfner, but his questions are definitely interesting, because he does not ask the common things everybody else asks. Pretty good.

In 10 years, these will be the good old days... When Men were men and women were wom- Okay nevermind that was the 1950s... When people were people and we could trust our eyes and ears and natural instincts and didn't have to fear that every bug was a Paparazzo Wasp spying on our intimate moments with the lovers we designed in virtual reality and recently printed to finally enjoy in Meatspace... Or whether that was a regular mosquito and will just leave an itchy bump or if it was an Assassisquito come to inject a disease made with LO-V.e , just for us, by someone with a screw loose who disliked a youtube comment we made 10 years ago, tailored to go Stuxnet on our Immune Systems until it kills us in an undetectable and uniquely horrifying way that medicine and science have never encountered until last week when the first 10,000 suddenly died and we don't know how many are infected or what consistent early symptoms are... And no one thinks it's real because the news is saying it's aliens, it's God's wrath for not finishing the holocaust, that it's caused by the vaccine for the last one, that it only affects gay people, but also only infects newborns and has been around since the 90s, but also only infects women from Haplogroup A and T men from Haplogroup B, E, and V and Gay Jewish Alien superminds like Harari people are immune, but also that it's totally imaginary and is just the plot of a movie You know, 2018, when governments... existed... and the sum of our fears was a dirty old man with dementia... when things made sense... Fucking hell we're fucked.

this thinking andmr harari is like an ant that see the tip of a pen thats writing. he can not see the writer with his small physical eye and thought. thats why his focus is event of the past and the future. he and most of his modern audience are blind to see the writer thats why every story hey say is incomplete and neive though interesting for sensual mind and hearts

Yuval Harari gets far too much attention. Drawing conclusions about human development based on historical or scientific trends is a dangerous business. Extrapolating from the success of AI in performing amenable logical tasks like playing chess, Yuval concludes that the thinking subject is something downloadable onto a machine or hackable like a computer and thus liable to be superseded. Yet it is clear that we are not just a set of logical and biological functions with some emotions added on. We can also see the necessity of 2 + 2 = 4, Euclid's theorems and General Relativity, know the intangible beauty of Michelangelo's David and the wrongness of selfishness. Human judgement is far more sophisticated than Yuval allows.

Check out Robert Saplosky videos here on youtube and his book➡️ "Behave: The Biology of Humans at Our Best and Worst." We're no so unique as we thought. He really explodes the myth of free will, as does Harari.
