going to be straight up w my thoughts on it but I believe they underscore him bc they were trying to leave room for Chen as he hadn't performed yet. the ISU does it all the time w their faves, they underscore people so that they can lessen the gap between who is actually winning and who they want to win. they did it at Sochi between Adelina and yuna Kim as well. I personally believed they tried to do it here as well but bc Chen ended up messing up in the end they just started scoring fairly again bc they no longer had a favorite to win. controversial I know but this is just how my thought process goes lol

@@francesosugi7236 more so here than in Sochi. Remember in the SP that Yuna, because she took a couple seasons off was placed in an earlier group and the tendency is to score earlier skaters lower (since they are lower ranking which is stupid, a skater's talent shouldn't be based on when they skate but that's also why we call the PCS the reputation mark meh.) so she also had that against her. The FS however was a totally different story, I think true FS fans and not just fanatics know who was robbed and who was favoured. I will only say that very few female skaters to this day have any business getting above 70 for PCS.

I think another factor is that he repeated this program 3 seasons already. I understand why he did it with his injury, but for a judge, it probably lacked excitement.

@@soxnation1000 im not really exactly knowledgeable on how they judge specially when it comes to the repeating of programs but i think they dont really care what music or program the skaters do? I mean i think they just stick in judging on how they execute it technically and artistically. But i agree with some of the commenters above, i think they underscored yuzuru, just that i really lost my trust that they will give fair scores as it has a touch of political lol

It's where the skaters go to get their scores. It's called the Kiss&Cry for how the skaters react to the scores they get. Either the scores are good, hence the kiss part or bad, hence the cry part.
