Yves MONTAND (1921-1991) chante "C'est si Bon" (1947) composée par Henri BETTI (1917-2005) avec des paroles d'André HORNEZ (1905-1989) à l'émission "Champs-Élysées" du 17 juin 1989 présentée par Michel DRUCKER (1942).

Как он мне нравится. Это утонченный певец. Как хочется, чтобы эстрадные площадки блистали такими бриллиантами, неважно где. Если они будут, мы всегда их найдём. Очень много слушаем и смотрим посредственного, а так хочется выдающегося.

Saw Wages of Fear in my early teens impacting Montand as a dynamic screen force, only in later years did I discover his music talents. One of my favorite actors, the music side a plus.

Like a breath of fresh air seeing a little bit of old-fashioned sophistication. The female dancers aren't in their knickers and flashing their flesh the singer is well dressed and not a single tattoo in sight!

Yves Montand, Italian-born French actor/singer was honored in NY @ Lincoln Center with a Lifetime Achievement Award. My mother & I attended, sat in the first row center. He kept staring at me & at the end of the festivities, we were invited backstage. I had a bouquet of red roses for him. He was gracious, oozed French charm and very, very suave & "seduisant." He was always one of our favorite actors. He worked with many great directors including Clouzot in "The Wages of Fear," G. Cukor in "Let's Make Love" with Marilyn Monroe with whom he also had an affair; Tony Richardson's 'Sanctuary," Jack Cardiff's "My Geisha" co-starring Shirley Maclane; Alain Resnais' "La Guerra est finie," Costa-Gavras' "Z," & "Etat de Siege," C. Sautet's "Cesar et Rosalie," "Vincent, Francois, Paul & Les autre;," C. Berri's "Jean Florette," "Manon des Sources;" Corneau's "Police Python 357," V. Minnelli's "On a Clear Day" with B. Streisand; John Frankenheimer's, "Grand Prix," A. Litvak's "Goodbye Again" with Ingrid Bergman & my favorite J-P Melville 's "Le Circle Rouge." He started his career as a singer & nightclub performer who became a little more than Edith Piaf's protege. While married to the great actress, Simone Signoret, he was frequently unfaithful & had an illegitimate son with his partner/caretaker. His stepdaughter, Catherine Allegret's allegations of sexual abuse in her autobiography, tarnished his image along with his lifetime support of left-wing causes & attending communist meetings/festivals. It's ironic since his parents left Italy after Mussolini's fascists became a political force to be reckoned with.

Pero te olvidaste de nombrar uno de "Sus Mejores y Más Resonantes Films" por el "Impacto Mundial" que causó su proyección: "I Comme Icard" de Henri Vernouil, y que por sus paralelos con el Asesinato del Gran Presidente John Fitzgerald Kennedy y la reseña sobre como el "Método Milgram" de "Sumisión a la Autoridad" asombró al público y a la Sociedad de los años 70's...y es Tan Buen Film y mi Preferido, como mi actor preferido que trabaja en este film como "Colaborador" del Fiscal Henri Volney : Jean Francois Garreaud, y el simpatiquisimo Pierre Vernier como su otro colaborador principal. Ambos en los papeles de Vernont Calbert y Charly Feruda"... Más adelante, en 1983, protagonizaron juntos la miniserie : Fabien de la Drome, que es un "western francés" con hechos históricos de esa localidad: excelentes actuaciones e historia./ En I comme Icard la historia parece de esta década, de tan creíble y actualizada que se ve la puesta en escena y las locaciones de filmación y tiene (como no...) cierto paralelo con la muerte en condiciones dudosas de un Fiscal nuestro: Nisman, que fue noticia de "tapa" Internacional. @@GracielaChalela-lp7fp Graciela, sorry I don't speak, read or write Spanish; I am fluent in French, German, etc. However, I think you're talking about Montand's other films made for lesser-known directors in the US. Those films that you speak of were never shown in the US or had a limited distribution -- they disappeared after 1 week. The films I mention are those shown @ festivals/tributes & are his best known. Montand, like other actors, has a long filmography, but that doesn't mean the critics & film goers agree with what is great, good or just mediocre. Distributors only choose box-office successes to show overseas because it's all about money, awards & critical recognition that motivate distributors & film programmers world-wide.

@@GracielaChalela-lp7fp Montand's lesser-known films made in France weren't box-office successes & had a limited distribution outside of France. American film programmers prefer screening his best-known films which brings in the fans & the money.
