Love that they let her keep her real accent for ME2. It makes sense to have people of different nationalities and accents in the ME universe. Earth is a big place.

Funny thing is Miranda was suppose to have blond hair. But due to design issues. They changed it to the current hair color she has now.

Yvonne is high among the talents I admire in the entertainment world. Mass Effect 2 is a masterpiece. I read somewhere that Mass Effect trilogy is so good that Smithsonian has a copy of it.

The developers felt that Miranda fit in better with black hair there is a mod for the game that makes her a blonde.

@ragforces I believe it's like that for any non-native English speaker, especially after a while living abroad. One adopts the local accent after some time, but there are still times when one doesn't know how to pronounce a certain word, and that's when the "classic" knowledge kicks in. Since most foreign English classes teach the British pronunciation, that one word gets pronounced the British way, which may be inadequate at the time.

Even in 2018 on the PS3 version, Miranda looks damn fine. Ashley and Liara absent for most of the game...they really entice you into cheating on your ME1 love interest lol.

I enjoyed being rejected by lesian characters, and by samara. I think it makes them more real, them having an orientation of their own, and not being there to serve the player. I usually play manshep, and I always feel like I'm missing out on Aria, which is an awesome character

@Gammelbit I was referring to 100% completion ME1 vs 100% completion + DLC ME2. Like I said, ME1 was too long, ME2 was awfully too short.

@Pseudologic I don't know exactly if by real actors you meant good actors or not voice actors, but Martin Sheen was not the first actor (TV and film actor) in Mass Effect. It was Seth Green, he voices Joker.

@Zedonius666 Because, when they gave her the Cerberus uniform, it really suited a brunette look better and so they changed her to that, instead. I think it makes her look better, regardless.

Thumbs up for Yvonne. The gaming world keeps pulling in new actresses (and models), and it's a great way of gaining reckognition. I hope we get to see more games made into films made with the same level of quality (or better) as f.ex. Tomb Raider and Resident Evil.

@Khimeran77 I guess it leaves them room to either cast anyone they want in the role or to go for someone who resembles Shepard's default appearance! I've seen a lot of comments from people saying it should be Matthew Fox from Lost playing Shepard haha :)

@CommanderMattShepard Tali saw nothing. Not only is Tali optional, ergo migth not even set foot inside the Normandy SR2 at all, but Miranda also cleared the Engine Room beforehand.

@Calvin0135 That's probably because Miranda is so perfectly symmetrical that she actually comes off as being creepy instead. In a way, it's a subtle reminder that Miranda really is "flawless" with all the weirdness that comes with it.

Maybe the model that the Sheppard character was based on sshould do a live action commercial and have the guy who did his voice do the VO on it. Then have Yvonne come in in brunnete! would be sweet to see that!

@the1stcritic Well, she is of Polish descent, speaks it fluently, though born and raised in Australia, now has a lead role in an American TV series, in which she has an American accent... I think I'll let this one slide... remember! If all else fails, just smile and wave!

@robikifin Actually blonde is her natural color. They changed her hair to black in the game because they wanted to give her character a more "femme fatale" look.

Well I think it's due to the interviewer. For some person who picked up another accent, he/she will switch to the learned accent when the conversational partner shares the same accent. It's somehow subconsciously done, I did the same thing and did not realise it until my friend pointed it out to me that I did not speak in my native accent when I'm talking to a foreigner.

"Miranda looks like Michael Jackson, ugly, etc" She looks just like Yvonne, the problem is that in game they gave her perfect facial symmetry, which literally throws off your brain, as nobody is supposed to, or has, perfect facial symmetry in real life. It normally isn't a problem to have that for characters in game, but with high cheekbones and symmetric eye makeup, it comes out a lot.

@CommanderMattShepard 1-The crew had already been kidnapped by this point. 2-I'm sure Shepard closed the doors, he is the commander afterall. And 3- it's still a better idea to do it on the Engine Room and risk a squadmate stumbling upon them than do it anywhere else on the ship and broadcast it to the Illusive Man in High Definition.

@timchambers55 Thanks for the feedback! I just went into images & found a side by side comparison of Matthew Fox & Default Shepard. Actually, it's a pretty good aesthetic placment. In all fairness, I did play default Shapard on on my first playthroughs of ME & 2, but then I found out that I could be Shepard. They should give me the role, lol!~
