I really enjoy this channel. Doing crafts like this was recommended to work through some PTSD. The way you explain things, the tone of your voice etc... is just calming. I just made these today using peridot as the center bead, copper seed bead as a spacers and three smaller peridot beads on each side. They came out beautifully! Really like the weight and feel of the 16g wire.. had to use 26 g wire to hang the beads as the peridot crystal holes are so small. Did the variation loop as opposed to the spiral. Looking forward to showing them off! Thank you for your clear instructions and awesome design!!!

Hello Yvonne, You have become an excellent teacher. Many tanks for giving us the opportunity to let us sell our jewelry after your teaching.

Yvonne, I wet my steel wool and use a dab of Dawn dish detergent. It keeps the steel wool dust from flying around. I polish over a plastic tray that is easily rinsed off. Then I polish with my rotary tool with a 3/4" Carbon Steel Brush. Then I may tumble the piece for a beautiful shine depending on the stones I use. Great video. Thanks!

It looks like quite a sizable outlay of money to get the necessary tools and wires, but such a gorgeous artisan’s hobby. I've spent the last two years buying tools, wire and beads using coupons a couple times a month. Almost there.....lol.😊 Not alot of extra funds to play with. I know this is older, but I when I use steel wool, (I actually avoid like the plague) I put a piece of paper under my area for a quick clean up. I also move all of my tools away from it because I do a lot of pickling and don't want the steel to contaminate anything. Great design and wonderful tutorial. Thank you for sharing.

For containing the steel wool fragments I have two ideas. One would be to spread newspaper before you work so that you can just roll up and toss the mess. The other would be, weather permitting, to do the steel wool portion outside. Your tutorials are amazing. Your gentle voice and manner are so wonderful and your designs are beautiful. I love these, Von!! Thanks for showing us how to make that initial shape - I bet I could turn it into a heart, don't ya think? Btw, chalcedony is pronounced kal-SAID-knee (stress the 2nd syllable). A super cool group of quartz that includes the agates, jaspers, onyx, and all the other microcrystaline quartz 😁 Oh, and I like to use a wire brush to polish my metals. I like it more than steel wool 'cause it doesn't "shed" steel all over the work surface. Found at any hardware store in several grades, it's super inexpensive as well as easy to use 😎 Great tut!!
