I was super skeptical of this method but I just tried it after watching your vid and it worked on the first try. I'm shaking your hand from the internet sir! Thank you so much.

The crank pull and put back together tools (tusk) are a definite reason why you should use them without hammering,I’ve never had a problem using with two or four strokes

There's a good reason why they make a tool to pull the crank into the bearing. If the crank and bearings are new, it usually requires significant force, which can knock a crank out of alignment if you start beating or prying on it. (Apparently either your bearings or crank were not replaced, or replaced with aftermarket stuff. If you'd used OEM parts, those case bolts would strip before they pulled everything together.) Pulling it in with the tool also doesn't leave you with a bound crank like yours was. The tool is cheap, too. I think I paid $60 for mine.

Love your thoroughness in your engine rebuild vids…Helps me learn, so that I may do this myself, on my bike, when needed. I have my 1st 2 Stroke, ‘00 CR250R, that I want to learn & be able to do all my own maintenance & engine rebuilds too. That’s my goal anyway.🤞Thanks for the Great vids!👍 Keep em up👍

If you put the bearing in behind the clutch actuator arm without the seal an put the sealed bearing in the other half of the case does it matter?
