I cleaned the carbs and very thoroughly the first time but I set the pilot screws at 1-1/2 turns out, so I went back and reset the pilot screws to exactly 1-3/8 turns out. That is what my Haynes repair manual says to put them at (1-3/8). But now when I rev it when it`s cold or warm the engine will come back down very slowly from anywere from 5,000 rpm to idle and it hovers around 3,000. I know that it`s not the throttle cables because I checked that while the tank was off and they snapped back every time and there`s very little freeplay in the throttle. It has around 3-4 mm of play like it supposed to have. The bike doesn`t need to be synchronized because of the miles and the sync screws still have the factory paint on them and they have not been turned. I put 93 premium in it like it needs also.Theres all new antifreeze, new iridium spark plugs, cleaned K&N air filter, fixed petcock, all new brake fluid front and rear and their bleed very well.I don`t know why it acting this way. Please can anyone tell me what or how to fix this,I really what this bike to be ready by the fall.
