Wouldn’t the air refuel feature be great for a dog fight where you have to refuel every once in a while to keep fighting and it’s a 3v3 with one on each team being a tanker

I've heard that the Midair Refueling is the #1 hardest Aircraft Maneuver of them all. Sure as hell was in the old C64 Game, "Ace"...

What's kind of neat is you mixed the two. The fuel connector on a tube offset of the cockpit is a feature of drogue probe refueling, while the source aircraft had something more indicative of a boom. Though for a boom refueling system the destination aircraft holds steady and the source can maneuver the boom to connect.

The "pole" is actually called the flying boom because it has a v tail wing for it to maneuver

The fuel mechanic seems like such a cool idea, wish i had trailmakers to experiment with it myself. So many cool WW2 dogfight where you have to manage fuel and defending your base.

You should totally implement that and the ammo system you made in a multiplayer battle with Scrapman and the others. Like, you provide the module to them, and they build their planes around it. It could be kinda fun and entertaining to watch.

@@oneshot4713 To add on that, though it seems more and more like a War-Thunder match at this point, they can reload and refuel if they land back on their own airfield. The Fuel could last for around 5 min at most. - if the system is damaged, it should be set so that it "runs out" of fuel. The ammo could be set to have around 10 reloads in the air before you need to land dto fully reload it. - It will be set like the original ammo system, with the addon of the fuel system part that reloads it when it detects an object... the ground for the sake of this example.

If, like me, you were inspired to emulate Yzuei's fuel system in your builds, this is how you extend the time on the piston's for "more fuel". - Build the fuel system Yzuei displayed at the beginning of the video (remember to change piston speed to 0.10) - Disable cockpit controls to the pistons. - Control the piston retraction with an OR gate. - Set the OR gate on a "Duration" of 0.75 and a "Pause" of 1.00. This is roughly 5 minutes of fuel. - That's it! Enjoy Messing with the duration and pause times will fluctuate the amount of fuel you have: - More duration = less fuel - Less duration = more fuel - More pause = more fuel - Less pause = less fuel Same thing with the piston's speed: - more piston speed = less fuel - less piston speed = more fuel

@@JoshuaAngeles-od1zp For my setup: I had a Distance Sensor control the expansion of the piston (piston green arrow= positive output from Distance Sensor, and vice versa). I put the sensor on the bottom of the plane. Flying around it wouldn’t trip, but when I land it would expand the piston (i.e. refuel). Alternatively, you could put the distance sensor on the “fuel boom” like he did. Hope that helps!!

Would love to know if you built that F/A-18, I’m guessing you did because of the fuel system, and it it called the boom. I have a video idea, build a big aircraft carrier and have scrapman or littlecorndogs land on it and take off with an aircraft, it would be epic if you could add the carrier systems like the catapult and the arresting wires. But that means that the aircraft needs a catapult connection system and also a tail hook, you can always try

I if you haven’t seen top gun maverick you probably shouldn’t look at this, but you should do f-18s vs Sam turrets operated by players and the turrets are using the or gate glitch. That would be really fun to see

See this is how you know yzuei is just such a great KZfaqr creating WORKING fuel is just such an achievement and I don’t know if it’s just me who noticed but yzuei has OVER 18k wich is yet ANOTHER ACHIEVEMENT he’s just so enthusiastic in his videos and that’s what makes him great he may not be others favorites but he mine. Congrats on 18k you deserve it.

So in your little animation showing what you are going to do its a boom. But what you are using in the game is more like a basket, which planes use that have a prope like the F18. F15 or F16 for example have an opening where the boom goes in.

I have made working fuel before what it was is i would build a "engine" in the plane and use a diatance sensor hook it up to my thrust and set however long i wanted my fuel to last

Could you post a video on how to make the fuel system please? Edit: I just found out how to do it. Have a piston that retracts over time. When the distance sensor does not detect the piston it will shut off the AND gate it is connected to, hook the and gate up to the method of propulsion you are using, remove the inputs for the propulsion and put the inputs on the AND gate. Then have a distance sensor hooked up to the pistons to extend them. Sorry if this was unclear, just trying to help :)

@@apathyontop make sure the black tip isn't attached to anything and if the piston is colliding wirh anything, with my fuel system I couldn't put anything on the pistons because it would collide
