Making some sort of a hero/prophet out of a petty dictator who did what all such individuals do. There is something different about the Western view of reality than the rest of the world which stays mired in superstition, emotionalism, and of course the "righteousness" of their so-called religions. Most people from third world nations would readily move to the West if accorded the opportunity. Just look around.

I'm not a fan of PPP but respect must be given to the Pakistani leader that tried to stand up to the Americans. Bhutto was self serving. He was hungry for power. All these politicians waste time serve themselves initially. The moment they realise now its time to do something for the people. They are removed/killed. So the most important thing from this is US wanted the Soviet Union to invade Afghanistan. This was their strategy. Pakistan more than fulfilled their expectation during Soviet was. That's why during US-Afg war they kept Pak busy by sending TTP.

Quite interesting and fascinating details . At the same time, Bhutto's execution was tragic and sad. Zulfiqar Bhutto never deserved this sort of an end. Fate and destiny conspired against Bhutto. Whether Zulfiqar was the victim of Cold war era power games or whether he was the victim of Gen Zia's machinations, is now irrelevant. Whatever it be, journalist Azhar Masood comes across as very genuine and credible. His integrity and the integrity of his recollection of past events, is beyond doubt. For all the cruelty meted out on Zulfiqar Bhutto, Gen ZIa's end also came in a gruesome way.

fir against Bhutto for murder of nawab Mohammad khan was registered not by cia or any one else. it was registered by name against Bhutto while in power. the fir had to be pursued to its natural course. who then committed this murder. whose purpose it would serve? as a democrat Bhutto should.have not have involved in killing of his opponents. his son murtaza had similar tendencies. it ran in feudal blood and family.

After the 1970 general election which mujeeb Rehman won he should have been handed over the power by yahya khan. If this happend there would be no breakup of Pakistan. Yes Bhutto was to blame for his refusal to accept defeat in the election which resulted in many death's in east Pakistan. But yahya khan had the power to implement results of the elections and I blame him more than Bhutto. I believe if Pakistan had not lost the war in east Pakistan when the army surrendered he would have kept the power for himself for as long as he could.

Completely agreed .. a decent thing would be to pray for their forgiveness . Having said that, policies of both leaders caused irreparable damage to our great country. Not only economically but also ideologically as well. Bhutto was socialism pro and caused colossal economic damage and Zia was pro religion which cause ideological damage . Both never considered PAKISTAN FIRST priority. The best example of real balance and equilibrium was the great JINNAH a statesman , politicising and a true Muslim after all.

Strongly disagree with that line that without pakistan india has no nationalism .. we have love for land irrespective of we have 28 states and 8 union territories.. we have the history of our ancestors, our religion born here it's the bloodline. We will choose nation always above religion .. can't say the same for muslims ..
