I think you also could use spray on glue for the second round of glitter. That modge podge is sometimes hard to deal with.

Beautiful work and I really hope that the piece holds up for you over time. The pieces at Z Gallery are made using epoxy acrylic. Mod podge would work for a smaller piece but isn't really strong enough to hold that weight from the crushed glass. Please let us know how it does in a years time.

I’m so glad you are inspired. I was the same way, wanting something nice to put in an empty space but I didn’t want to pay too much for it 😩 so I decided to create my own. I got the crushed mirrored glass from Michaels. They have a variety of colors and they’re almost always on sale🙂 and you can get glitter from almost anywhere. I got mine from Walmart. Hi, thank you. I used two different blues, cobalt blue by Apple Barrel and Ink Spot by Folk Art and metallic silver.

Wow amazing. Did you wait after doing the first batch of mod podge and the glasses? For it to dry? Or did you do both layers together at the same time without any drying time in between?

I just came across your channel for the 1st time & I love this piece !! I also do this type of art & love it. I was actually doing it before Sherry Moulton got her channel up but I do paint pouring also & just don't have the time or patience for having a channel & dealing with all the KZfaq b.s. lol. But you did a great job on this & actually in my 2 FAVE colors ... I will use blue in silver in any painting I can. Lol . As far as the music ...I could care less if someone were playing bongos in the background. Lol. I'm concentrating on the ART itself and just seem to tune out the music and there is such a thing as a volume button that people can use if they don't enjoy the music....so get your jam on to whatever music you like girl !!! I also watch a very nice woman who pours and she has a grandfather clock in the background & its the one sound I can't seem to block out. Hahaha. So heck yeah bring on the tunes !!! Anyway I love this video and will definitely subscribe and share . I look forward to seeing more of your work & good luck with your channel !!! You have a beautiful talent !!! 😉😉😉😉💖💖💖💖💖 Oh & the comments that mentioned wanting to see it from a distance ... I have a smaller wall area just I keep blank with just a nail in it so that when I'm done with a piece O can just hang it on that wall and take some good pictures of it to post ... its painted a really light gray so it doesn't clash with the look of any colors I use in my paintings ....just a thought.... I know its sometimes hard to get a good shot of larger paintings & rather than leaning them against something or whatever hanging them.on a wall gives viewers a general idea of how they will actually look on their own walls . Forgive me if you know these little tips I don't wanna come off as one of "those" kinda people but just wanted to mention it just in case. Lol. Happy painting !!! 😜😜😜😜😜 I also wanted to ask you if you feel that the sponge tip brushes soak up more or less than just using regular brushes.??.. I use soft really large Filbert brushes so that I don't get streak marks but if the sponge tips seem to not hold onto as much paint then I was thinking of switching to those. I do use them to varnish my pour paintings that I use a liquid varnish on and they work great but I've never tried them with the actual paints . Thanks 😜😜

Hi Julie, thank you so much for the love and support❤️ I’m too sure why some ppl were so bothered by the music, they can always just mute it🥴 As far as the brushes, I’m going to assume it does soak up more paint than other brushes, I just pretty much used what I had on hand. I don’t have a lot of experience with painting, I just started doing it a few months ago but I find that I really enjoy it😊

I will check out the 2 different kinds of brushes and see how it goes ...no biggie ..most important is no brush stroke marks for me I just dont like the look. And you are off to a great start with your art I would have never guessed its only been a few months & yes its a great stress reliever too lol. Just have fun with it. I agree with you about the music and your reference to it as chaotic! (Great choice of words!) When I do any crafting, I like to be relaxed and chill out, I like it to be soothing and mellow resume music while doing crafts! LOL this piece looks so badass oh, I want to make one in the worst way! Where do you get the canvas frame? Could anybody help me with that and an approximate price?

@@kerrim.stefanik6339 i do this kind of art also and get my canvases & supplies from Michael's and the Dollar Tree & Walmart ...Michaels always has 40% coupons ...the canvases are almost always on sale ...the crushed glass & glitter are not expensive at all or you can make your own and I get Ailenes Tacky Glue from the Dollar Tree and it works just as good if not better than Mod Podge and dries clear.... sometimes I even use the Spray paints in different colors on my canvas ...they come in soooo many different colors & metallics. Glitter & crushed glass you can get at a lot of places but I get them at Michaels because they always send me the 40% off every item in my cart . Just sign up to be a rewards member and I will put a couple things in my online cart and within a day or 2 they will send me the coupon just to get me to complete my order. Lol I NEVER pay full price for ANYTHING at Michael's . Even the sponge tip brushes that were used to apply the paint you can get really cheap there and in different sizes ... I often rinse & clean mine out so I can reuse them so that helps save also. Good luck !!! 😜😜😜😜

Simply Beautiful. I see you used Mod Podge vs Resin, is it a difference in the outcome or is it just a personal preference?

Angelia Amos thank you❤️ I’ve actually never used resin. I imagine it is easier and quicker to work with than the mod podge. I haven’t had any issues with using the mod podge, it’s definitely less expensive than the resin😊 I’ll try it one day tho

@@glamdesignsbycallema that Sherry Moulton uses resin but I think its a pain to have to mix it plus you only have a certain amount of working time with resin. I use Ailenes Tacky Glue and it works just as well if not better than Mod Podge & also dries clear . Ive gotten it at Dollar Tree in the 2 oz bottles but have found bigger bottles at Walmart & places like that. I do this type of art also and the Ailenes had no trouble keeping some larger heavier crushed glass I used right in place then I just spray sealed the whole painting with Rustoleum Crystal Clear Enamel Sealer or Krylon is good also and you can get it in different finishes . .... I'm sorry I'm sure you are already aware of those products but just thought I'd mention it ..and it really brings the paint colors back to life. 😜😜😜😜😜

Julie Rositer thanks for the tips. I’ve seen the Ailenes products in dollar tree and Walmart before just never thought to use it. I definitely will try it. I wouldn’t have a problem using the resin but it’s expensive compared to the mod podge.

@@glamdesignsbycallema If you ever do want to.try a Resin I HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend KS Resin , they have a few different types ...a resin for sealing paintings (or using it like we are talking about here), they have casting resin fir jewelry making & a resin thats for using for stuff like coasters or trivets ...I dont normally seal my paintings with resin or make jewelry but I do use the one kind for my coasters because its has a heat resistance of up to.450 degrees so you never have to worry about a cup of coffee or anything hot sticking to the coasters like a lot of other brands. Lol I get the kind called Liquid Stone. Plus its ALWAYS free shipping & you can buy anywhere from 8 oz to 2 gallons .... AND they will let you split your payment interest free if you want so that makes it good for any budget....it also has a very long working time ...sometimes I can get close to an hour of working time. One of my friends who is an extremely knowledgeable & talented artist has her own KZfaq channel and she puts resin on every single piece of art she does and shes the one who hot me started on it. She has TONS of tutorial videos on how to resin anything & everything. Lol She a little goody but she knows her art products like we know Home Goods.. Hahaha. She explains & shows everything step by step in her videos ...shes super nice & loves to teach so if you ever wanna check out her resin work or just learn all the do's & don'ts she is the BEST person to learn from. It blows my mind how knowledgeable she is about any & all.the products she uses and I have learned A LOT from her. So if you ever wanna check out her tutorials her name is Tammy Anderson . Sorry to sound like an advertisement for KS & Tammy lol but they are just the best out there 😉😉😉
