fuck, I played the same track on my KRK Rokit 5s, turned the volume up... and that superlow end was simply not played. A soft, quiet, "tump tump tump". very quiet, so gentle that I could barely feel it touching the cones with my fingers. that sub would have broken my fingers.

5:03 - LPF meaning low-pass, as in the lows get past. Therefore it's how fast the sub rolls in at the crossover freq. 12dB vs 24dB depends on a number of factors, probably want to use 24dB at higher crossover freqs (~80Hz). Might also depend on your speakers too; If they're big, you'll be crossing over lower and the speakers will roll-off a bit slower, therefore maybe 12dB makes sense.

Very excellent and entertaining reviews. A step above the rest for sure. I just recently came across you while researching new subwoofers. My final 2 picks were between the rythmik fv15hp and monolith 15. (Although the fx15 you have looks amazing as well.) I'm torn between the two. My gut says Rythmik which I can order now and the other is out of stock until 2/25. Your videos of each make me want them both 🤯

I use the Line in on my FV15HP, lower noise floor and just overall better and cleaner bass with a 2db bump without touching the gain at all. check with measurements in REW. go over to AvsForum and look at the Rythmik Audio thread if you ever keep this sub. i also have an Minidsp 2x4 which gives me an insane amount of control of what's going on especially when used along with REW - Room EQ Wizard.

when will you review their new 18? I really like your reviews which sounds like a lot of people do, I like the new ultra 16 but for 2500 I'd rather have 2 for 1 in the first place and if the rythmik 15 impressed u, im ready to go buy the 18 cause I,ve been waiting to upgrade and will do so soon from dual 13.2s in a sealed enclosure to the new rythmik now instead of the psa, which they sounded a little arrogant to talk to but I don't know everything so if u would please take a look at there 18 please and thank you for some good info on your site!

OK, let say I get a standard 9.2. receiver, adding 4 onto the ceiling, (NOT ATMOS AVR) , can I actually get the same result as the true atmos AVR?
@ZReviews
@ZReviews 7 жыл бұрын
No. The atmos AVR's are extracting audio either from proprietary tracks or though a demuxing process. So you could never match what actually comes out without that processing.

dude, may I have your guidance, please. May I ask is the subwoofer speaker level input IMPORTANT or not. Because I was thinking of buying pair of subwoofer, but the subwoofer itself does not have the speakers level input, it's actually doesn't matter, or actually is a serious problem? Also, the subwoofer itself don't have auto switch on/off button. Does it worse or actually not a problem too?
@ZReviews
@ZReviews 7 жыл бұрын
The on off will usually have an AUTO .. The speaker level passthroughs don't need to be there if you have a real 5.1 receiver. Just hook it up single RCA. If you want a pair. Just split the RCA from the subwoofer out.

The Phase delay is meant to set your sub to the same phase as your speakers. If the phase is reversed, they cancel out the bass from your other speakers/subs. If they match, they amplify.

Hi, I bought a 10" subwoofer recently and when I play it at medium-high levels it starts to rattle . I unscrewed the back (its a powered one) and looked for something loose inside, which i couldn't find. I did replaced the pads with cheap velour ones that make 'em way more comfy and kind of decrease the bass a little.

you get what I mean? what is mean is, if I get a normal standards 9.1 or 9.2 AVR, 1 center, 2 front, 2 back, another 4 back surround speskers I install up my celling, would it's actually sound the same SOUND EFFECTS same like the atmos AVR supposed will sound? OR, a standard 7.1 or 9.1 AVR will never ever performance for it's SOUND EFFECTS like the atmos AVR sound, no matter how many speakers I install up my celling? I am so very confuse, should I just get a normal standards 9.2 AVR will do, or should I really get an true atmos AVR.. it's gonna cost a big bomb if I need to get a great quality denon AVR-X7200W atmos AVR with rythmik FV15HP and not forgetting I still need 9 speakers..

@@MOAB-UT Woah! Damnear scared me.. 😅 Wow, 6yrs. Build(s) went good, yes there were 2 types-sealed & (variable) ported. And actually, I built a pair of each. Sealed pair was cheating though really.. They're made of an old 22"w all maple 18mm veneer, 5' h cylinder that I just cut in half, braced & capped on both ends of the now 2-30"h subs. The ported pair were built borrowing another build I found a link to (this thread iirc) that I modified to suit my space/decor needs. I'll post a couple pics .. (soonz I can figger howzta..) The Saloon ain't-a- resemblin' nuthin' I rekon from 2016.. 😳😂

@@L.A.W.Studios For music only, tight, clean bass which sub do you recommend and 8, 10 or 12, sealed or unsealed? Their F12 Rythmik looks pretty sweet. Their pricier subs use class A/B power. The value F12 for $869 uses Class D. Far more efficient that I like. I don't think I would hear a difference. Maybe on a chart A/B is musically better but not by much but you are the expert. What do you think?

surprising they don't make a FVX12, right? OK, so 400W FVX15 or 600W sealed E15HP for a little bit more. I kinda like the compact sealed which still has 14Hz -3dB.

Those little cubes are a bottleneck in any setup. If you can spend $1000 on this sub upgrade those first and then come back to subs later.

but dude, if I plan to use Bose v25 and paid with this rythmik fv15hp, will it like sound like shit, or what will happen like sound frenqucy or sound delay response, or what problems will I face if I need to use Bose lifestyle V25 satellites speakers, because my living room has limitations on bookshelf or floor standing speaker, please hell and guide..

You should try other positions for the sub. Beside the seat f.e. Also you should try different positions for the ports/membrane to exhale to. In a corner it's always not the best position exept you have a Klipschorn wich has to be in a corner to work properly.

Is it ok to stuff, say the F12 sub under my entertainment center- slightly right of the middle of the TV? It would wedge in very tightly or is it better to free stand it? I have very limited options due to small space.
@djambush360
@djambush360 Жыл бұрын
@@MOAB-UT You don't have to position the sub right in the middle. I would say any position between the main speakers will sound very similar.

@@djambush360 If it matters, it is a sealed sub- REL HT/1205. Facing the TV, to the immediate right is a wall. Center is an entertainment center- I could try to squeeze it under it (tight fit.) I have space to the left of the entertainment center which is a few feet to the left of the TV but this is more of an open area. The living room goes into the hall and kitchen. Also, do I need a MiniDSP for a single sub and does it stay connected at all times? Some suggested you only need it for multiple subs. The 1205 does not have onboard DSP. Good news is I am not too picky and I listen low volumes. I just want to nicely round out the bottom end and hear some nice base lines. Thanks!
