I feel this could represent many things, such as: 1) struggling with a personality disorder; 2) twins wanting to branch out and be more independent of each other; 3) living up to other's/society's expectations and deciding to lead the life you want not what others want of/for you; 4) living with anxiety and/or indecisiveness. The animation is beautiful and the message (though i fear i might have misinterpreted it) resonates with me!

I think the animator meant that having two heads meant Beylf, the character's choices and how different each option was. In life, you have a lot of options and we evaluate them but we all end up overthinking that we just completely overthrow the idea of having our own choice in our own way. I love how the animator represented that message in such an abstract way that you really have to read between the lines. I do hope I got the message right.

For me this animation can be interpreted so widely because every single one of us interprets it in our own way. For me it is my mother who is controlling me so hard it sometimes feels like she is part of my body, controlling my clothes, controlling my phone, controlling who I am and what I do. But one day I will finally be able to be myself. Maybe she'll leave me, disappointed that I can make my own choices. And I will miss her, even tho she is making me suffer a lot mentally. But eventually I will learn to be my own person, realize that she may judge me and my decisions, but heck! They're my choices because it's my life, not hers! I love how this animation just lets everybody who watches it interprete it in their own way. Be yourself. The animation is giving us a helping hand on that path.

This is my interpretation: The two heads were a metaphor of himself and his emotions. He was in a constant battle with himself. Once he was separated from the issue (toxic relationship), he had no idea what to do. The part where he was watching the baseball game alone made it seem that that was alluding to him missing the good memories, and wanting them back. The final scene, he realized that he can handle his emotions on his own, and doesn’t need that relationship to see that. Feel free to build on that :)

To me this represents how at some points of our lifes we feel like being two or more people in one body, wanting to do a lot of things, not really sure what kind of person we really want to be until there is a moment when we must choose one way or the other at some important matter or moment of our life and leave a part of us go away. That may make us feel incomplete or insecure for a while but we must try to understand that all the things we were before will always be inside us, we can choose a path and still have the best parts of the person we were before and the person we are now.

What i got out of this was to be your own complete person. Everyone loses people that they were close to, even if its just due to drifting apart. Its about being okay with change and that you are you whether you have people beside you or not. And if i may interject what i read between the lines: those people may have left a mark on who you are but it doesnt define you, its just a coat of paint. Good animation. The feel of the character felt organic. And I liked the look of the buildings, but it felt off at some points because of the way certain things were asymmetrical yet other things weren't. Like the window was crooked but the building was perfectly straight and the perspective was fine. Yet the character moved like they were on another plane. It was a bit distracting at times. Still really good tho. Had some Rockos Modern Life feels to it.
