A few days ago, i needed some motivation to play the game so I watched one of these videos, made a save and 2 days later I've found and activated all of sylvas gateways gotten to the 3rd or 4th layer of the mushroom caves, made a spaceship, and finally I got to desolo. Best save ever.

Lol im an absolute noob at this game, still on first game and only spent a few hours figuring it out but i have to say that your going so fast my heads spinning 🤯😵🤪 its hard to keep up as i havent even learnt the ores yet lol. The oxygen filters get used ever time you disconnect from the tether line. Even if it is only for a split second it will still happen. Hope this info helps :-)

You should take/build a smelter on Glacio, and smelt all your titanium while you look for research. Then turn glacio into a storage manufacturing site. Each silo takes 2 titanium, but only takes up one small storage slot. You can then take back 24 "packaged" storage silos on one storage silo, which would require 48 titanium. But this lets you take back plenty of storage silos, titanium and iron all on the small shuttle. My prefer mix is 8 silos, 8 titanium and 8 iron.

Hey z1 try this: instead of using the splitter and manually turning off research, connect your priority power consumers to your power platforms by 2 way platform style connections, and use a simple extender supplying the research only. This will limit or turn off research entirely when everything else isnt running at full power, as extenders got a built in priority system.

Glacio is my favorite planet by far. Resources are great and the danger level is really low. It also doesn’t have a super annoying terrain.

As for the RTG's I'm with you, I love them, I only wish there was a portable version too ;p Like make it 50 k bytes and require astronium, then there would be a use for astronium too ;D

@@SaintGuillotine It used to be a great use for researching bytes, but they nerfed it. It still can be researched, but now it only gives 1000 bytes over 25 minutes, or 40 bpm per nugget. It currently has no use in crafting.

If you 100% don't want to go to glacio at all I recommend getting one of those silos that can hold... 16 or 32 of one item and drive down a tractor with a tailer to the bottom of starter planet and fill it all up with astronium to research it. You'll be set for a long time getting 999 a piece, but it will take a very long time to research everything, so you'll have to be afk for a good while

I agree that Glacio is the best planet. Every new game I start I only research and build the absolute minimum amount I need to get off Terran. I go set up shop on Glacio and that becomes my main base/planet. Multiple saves I’ve had everything researched and millions of bytes leftover.

Best tactic in late game : Put two auto extractor on: Atrox for ammonium Glacio for iron Vesania for titanite and Calidor forTungsten and copper👌 (This is 24 RTG, (three per autoextractor) 8 large cannister, 8 auto extractor, 8 auto arm) But worth it 👌

It worked for me. I got to Glacio with close to 246,463 bytes. I waited a few seconds after I started a research to check. I left with 423,800. I don't know how good that is but I've pretty much unlocked everything I need. Already loaded and fixing to leave for Atrox. The only thing i'm planning on is unlocking the Gateways and the core. Even after 6 cores the trip down still makes me nervous. With stretching a tether line as I go does take a while. Will probably swing by and drop number 5 and 6 "keys". It's a good day for me.

Make a Medium Platform A and put the oxygenator on that.

See, what you need is a Medium Storage Silo filled with Small Batteries. That tower will store so much power and the peak output is also nothing to sneeze at...

That was my plan. To take the large rover with a medium silo filled with small batteries to unlock the gateways. My first try was Vesania. I thought i've got a full silo of batteries with an RTG on the rover there wouldn't be a problem. Except it didn't open the gateway. Then I added 5 small generators. Still didn't open the gateway. Then I added 5 more small generators and the gateway opened. I did a little research and found out the small batteries can't keep charge long enough to open the gateways. Now my plan has changed to 8 rtg's on the rover. I used 7 of them on Glacio and it worked great. I just forgot the silo to store them on. So I had to strip the rover to use the rtg's and repackage them between gateways. It was kind of a pain but it worked great. My bigger problem was having to dig out all the gateways. It turns out I came into every gateway from the back side.

I filled 8 medium silos and around 5 medium storage's. I think it worked pretty goood. I went to get a packager to package the rocket because I heard it would cause it to revert to it's original size. When I got back though it had disappeared. I actually have another project cheer rocket on the moon. If I didn't have so much scrap i'd make a trip to see if it still worked.
