Did you have to do anything with the ECU after doing all these deletes? Also the idle has to get manually set via TPS and TB correct ? How did the car run after this? It’s my first time doing any deletes and just want to get more information on how it’s done before I more forward. Thanks in advance!

You can honestly cut them out of license plates and double it up, just use an RTV gasket.

What does a icv delete do? I just csnt find any information on why people do it? I know that it’s not really needed but doesn’t it make it harder to turn over in the cold? Is deleting it simply because it will look nicer? Like what’s the real purpose of anyone can pls educate me

Deleting these parts is to clean up the engine bay and to remove the vacuum lines completely to avoid vacuum leaks and other issues caused by the vacuum system.

Where did you buy the small caps? I'm really interested in doing this to my car but I dont really know where to start. I was thinking of starting with the egr but have 0 clue on how to start. Or what parts I'll need other than the steel plates and the exhaust plug.

Did you just pull off the ac compressor and thats it? Did any liquids come out? I have a 84 NA and the ac compressor is hooked to a tiny pulley and then goes down to the main pulley Will i still need the belt and the small pulley after?

The belt drives the compressor, i ditched that, the condenser and anything else connect to the ac compressor as well as the 10 lb bracket.. lol

Your coolant hose on the passengers side of the UPPER plenum-- I see its capped off but are the other lines the rear gallery connects to capped off as well?

Yeah just need to advance the timing and adjust the idle screw. Never had any stall issues

I would like you to do this once again. And***** explain what the hose does use a pointer on the lines to show the routing please go slowly in. I took of the charcoal filter out I don't what the function are. One small one goes into the fire wall ??? The other two I will block. And that mess of hoses between the fire wall rear of the manifold. I would like to remove I don't know there function.

You don't need any of the vac lines in honesty. It's all for smog and emissions.

Bought a used car. I think the coil got gone. What color wires am I look for? +-? I'm guessing the terminal cap is still in there. If not I guess I can splice in at the distributor.

Should just be a positive and negative. Not sure of the colors just test with volt meter.

Any and all parts connected to any vacuume lines. Charcoal canister setup and anything else not really needed. Heater core, ac, brackets, useless bumper sensors, ac condenser, etc. Basically anything that has a vac line connected. Leave the vac line to the for. That's the only one you need

My 84 Turbo stalls after start until warmed up. I have to depress the accelerator pedal and dump more fuel into the engine to keep it going. It'll run fine once warmed up, but it'll hesitate on occasion or stall at stop lights. The symptoms present represent those found with a bad IACV. Also, when the battery is connected, I hear a clicking sound coming from the IACV and if you place your finger on the cylinder part, you can feel a thump coming from it. I suspect the solenoid is failing to activate, so I was thinking about deleting mine as well. But, what did you do with the port coming off the air intake pipe to the throttle body and isn't it hard to start the car on cold days?

try cleaning your MAF sensor first, had the same problem and that was my culprit. then separate the connector on the IACV, if it's disconnected it will lock open and stay that way i believe. at least that's what it did for my 87,before i removed and blocked it off. if you choose at some point to remove your IACV remember to adjust your throttle body idle screw and reposition the tps. also for the nub on the intake pipe just head to any auto store and pick up a set of rubber caps that look like they'll fit.

Never hard to start but with this car you couldn't touch the gas until it was warm or it bogged out.

@@WickedZ31 Normally, I wouldn't since it's fuel injected but I need to give it the gas or it will stallwhen cold. Car has had a full tune up and I also had the CHTS and sub-harness replaced. However, the problem persists. Fuel filter was also replaced.

It's up to you.. alot of the issues with these cars are due to vac leaks. If there are no vac lines then they can't leak lol

Question.. Are you running stock distributor? I have a 87 non turbo I erase pretty much the same stuff u did on ur but for sum reason i cant get it to run right... Car dies when i give it gas from pedal but wont die if i rev up manually from trottle body.. Thanx....

Mine floods if i touch the pedal when cold.. let it warm up to normal operating temp. Once its warmed up it shouldn't do that

Everyone i know with the delets has the same issue. I believe it has to do with the cold start sensor delete and the delete of the items on the plenum

My coil was putting out bad voltage so I just purchased this for 40$ more then the OEM and its been working great! Also very easy to install.

Kenneth Finnell ok so I took my 86 to car wash and power washed underneath hood. Left car wash and car started to hesitate wouldn't let me rev past 2000. Took the connector off MAF sensor blew it out and hooked it all back up. Car ran perfectly like brand new for about a month then last week car started again with the hesitation upon giving car throttle. What can it be?

@@GPXironczech most likely maff connection. If it gets wet or has moisture it gets fuckered till it dries. after connecting it wrap it with electrical tape it does help with keeping water and moisture out.

It just replaced the stock coil cause mine was bad. You can upgrade that by adding the msd box but it's not needed.

Off the charge pipe. Was a welded flange or an aftermarket pipe. Was on there when I got it.
