In this video I verify that all the components of the board are working. These are a Z80 CPU, an EEPROM, some RAM and the 16C550 UART for serial communication.

Nice work. I've been putting usb connectors on things, nice stable 5v.

I did try that on one of my boards, a surface-mount USB socket. You are right, it's easier than using the bench power supply.

Any reason not to cut the legs of the crystals and mounting them more flush to the board?

thats really cool reminds me of my little z80 "computer" i built 32k ram and rom Flash eeprom 2mhz 8255pio as io i got it to blink an led aaaand thats it really might make a "microcontroller" out of it and add some buffers and maybe some power mosfets for other hardware

@@CircuitBreaker256 That sounds cool. I kinda had the same idea too. maybe create some baked in "functions" to control the pio.(gpio?)
