I've had my UK 2022 SE tuned too. As you say night and day difference in throttle feel.

Thanks for the video, Dave. I test rode one of these a couple of years ago and the unsettling throttle killed the deal for me. As well as having the salesman tell me that all I had to do was change the way that I rode...after nearly 50 years of riding.. So I bought a KTM 890R instead..:) Anyway, I've been waiting for someone to post exactly such a video since, and you've nailed it. I'll get one now. But one question - has the reflash helped the clunkiness in the N-1-2 gear changes at all? Thanks again...from Tassie.

Hi Aldo, glad the video helped. Honestly I have not experienced the clunkiness in the gearbox that you mentioned, I do adjust the gear lever to my ideal position on bikes though, maybe that provides me with a more positive engagement

Apart from vibrations above 4.500rpm my main issue on my 2023 SE is the bogging when going very slow, very hard to do 30kph steadily in 1st or 2nd without the bike bucking. Solved now?

Thanks for the vid... do you think you will have issues with a road worthy with no cat on the bike?? Just got one myself and looking at putting headers on but being warned not to remove cat??

do you consider the 16 front sprocket mod as a future mod for your bike?

Mate, have you gotten the suspension set for you yet? Worth doing. Potentially biggest bang for buck you can do. Had my Jaffa set up for me in Brisbane by XXX rated suspension who is the guru that works on the current Aussie superbike champ. $70 it cost and the bike handles the way it should. I thought it was fine beforehand but the rear was way off. Having the SE it would be even better.

Hi Jade, i actually just set the sag last weekend, it is way better than from factory.

Hi Dave, nice review. Any particular reason for going with Delkavic headers as opposed to Akro, apart from the big price difference? Also, I’ve been told (no personal experience) that headers with the standard muffler is very loud…doesn’t seem to bad in the video. By way of comparison I have also have a VFR800 (series 8) with an SC Project muffler (pretty much straight through) that is pretty loud, but not obnoxiously so.
@davesbikes10 ай бұрын
Hi Micheal, really the choice of headers came down to price and availability. I do find the exhaust a touch loud if I’m not wearing my earplugs, but I have had my brother ride the bike past me and it’s not obnoxious for passers by which is good. I have an Akro on one of my dirt bikes and it is flat out obnoxious.

Your videos are useful as I am planning much the same mods (will get a shop to do the paint protection as I’m now really competent with that).. Are you thinking of adding fender extensions? I’m in Brisbane so hope to find someone here to do the flash…@@davesbikes

@michaelbopf8013 funny you ask, I ordered fender extensions from pyramid plastics this wee

Allensford Australia 🇦🇺 Kawasaki Motorcycle 🏍️ Division “ your ahead on a Kawasaki “ Reach for bars with eyes closed at rest. The wrist will automatically provide for natural carpal tunnel position. If bars need adjustment or replacement then the machine will be more comfortable for your body. The front fender is far too abbreviated in rear. An extension helps keep radiator and header pipes clear of debris. Suspension needs time as well as engine to allow break in procedure. 600 miles before engine to exceed 4,000 revolutions per minute. Oil change and chain adjustment the machine is ready for its performance envelope. Safe and happy motoring 😊.

What’s the advantage of the delkevich headers? Do they basically delete the cat? If so wouldn’t you need a dyno tune instead of a flash?
@davesbikes4 ай бұрын
A louder exhaust note essentially. Delkevic say you don’t need a tune, but I feel you get the best out of a tune. I only had my ECU flashed because I live 1,000km away from the workshop that I wanted to do the work for me. If I’m ever in their neighbourhood, I will drop in for a dyno touch up.

Do you know if it has any impact on the warranty? :)
@davesbikes3 ай бұрын
There is always a chance a warranty claim will be denied if it is related to a tune, but it must be caused by the tune. At the end of the day, it’s a Japanese motorcycle that is very, very reliable, I was not in the least concerned about something going wrong based on the tune, but everyone needs to make their own choice.
