In video Chhattisgarh's progressive farmer tells us about Signet Balwan (Signet-65) paddy. He liked the crop so much and he recommends this paddy to all farmers of Chhattisgarh. These paddy is suitable for both rabi and kharif season.
Tips for High yielding:
1. Nursery should be healthy with 2-3 tillers/ plant 2-3 plants per hill.
2. Nursery age should be between 21-30 days for transplanting, aged nursery reduce tillering resulting yield losses.
3. Use spacing 15 cm x 20 cm or 33 plant per sqm/ 133,333/- plants per acre.
4. During transplanting roots should not be much deeper, it results low tillering.
5. Use recommended dose of fertilizers / chemical to have healthy crop.
6. Disease and insects should be monitored properly and use effective chemicals available in market by taking technical guidance of Agriculture experts.
7. Keep bunds free from weeds.
8. Urea should be use at proper stage;
A) Early maturity 110-120 days: First urea 50 kg per acre after 14 days & second after 28 days of transplanting.
B. Medium Early 120-130 days; First urea 50 kg per acre after 18 days & second after 36 days of transplanting.
C. Lates duration more than 130 days; First urea 50 kg per acre after 21 days & second after 42 days of transplanting.
Note; use chemicals as per need. Maintain proper irrigation and keep free from weeds.
