Zabeel becomes the first stallion since his father Sir Tristram to be voted into the New Zealand Racing Hall of Fame.
By the time of his retirement, aged 27, Zabeel had not only matched his famous father but, in some respects, outshone him. He boasts four New Zealand championships and two Australian; 15 Dewar Awards (Australian and New Zealand earnings combined); 43 Group One winners (two behind his dad) and 148 stakeswinners, surpassing Sir Tristram's 130.
Zabeel's last commercial crop of yearlings has only just gone under the hammer at Karaka and there are still achievements to be added to this Hall of Famer's list of credentials.

The days when the Zabeels won the two-miles were awe-inspiring! I still follow his progeny today. Savabeels are pumping. Lohnro's, Pierro's, Dundeel, Darci Brahma, Ocean Park. RIP ZABEEL.

Jezabel an Champagne 1998 Melbourne Cup .. A Zabeel Quinella.. I looked all over for any other sire, couldn't find one .

When you take blue blood and make it more royal and can tell because of the feats on the track from the blood from the barn that no one would of known if it weren't kiwi bred!🇳🇿🇳🇿🇳🇿🇳🇿🇳🇿

Octagonal - Might & Power - Efficient I used to look for Zabeel horses in staying races.

Much better natured than Sir Tristram too. He's more like his grandsire Sir Ivor in kinder temprement. And have Nureyev's high and build and finer head.
