As someone who had the same surgery as him and had to fight off rumors in high school and college, I get what he's going through. He had the implant done, instead of the reconstruction. And he's still really swollen. I was for almost 2 years post op. I feel for him.

He'll get there. The more he talks the more his muscles will learn to work with his reconstructed jaw. He looks great. Healing such an injury takes time. You're doing great, Zac.

I’ve had jaw surgery and also had an implant placed and the healing process can take a long time. I’m still like 3 years post op and mine is still healing. It’s a very invasive surgery. My face has changed constantly throughout the healing process that it looked like I got fillers on my face. I can’t imagine being in the spotlight and people assuming the worst. I mean he doesn’t owe anyone any explanations but he very much could’ve just cleared it in a post with just educating people more so people could stop the rumors. It sounds like a touchy situation though.

He looks completely different. He’s an awesome guy. I wish him nothing but success.

I was assaulted and my nose broken in pieces. I almost lost my eye. I had surgery and after a year my face went back to looking more natural. Be kind to people. That’s all I have to say.

He seems like a really lovely person and a good actor. I also really appreciate how he's multi-talented, very disciplined and often takes on physically challenging roles, and is never embarrassed to give love to the Highschool musical franchise :)

His face isn't settled. Jaw surgery is pretty invasive and in some cases the swelling can take up to a year to subside. He may be experiencing numbness around his mouth due to where the incisions were made. It takes time for sensation to return and sometimes it does not. He's still a very handsome young man. He does look...odd in the interview. But to have such an injury sucks hard, I heard of it at the time as a rumor that it happened in skid row. Not that it matters, hope Zac is doing a lot better than back then. And even if it would be plastic surgery, what is it to everyone else? Why people keep yapping about it? Let others do what they want. Ok, you have no money for it, but let it go...more important things in life to worry about.

He definitely got other work done besides jaw surgery. He looks completely different. Whatever he had done, didn't take well. He didn't look like this even a year or two ago. And yes he's older but he's only 35. He looks like he's in his mid 40s now. He's still very attractive though

Oooof! Broke mine three yrs ago. Split in hlf and snapped both sides. Pushed pieces of bone just centimeters away from my brain. The road to recovery is extremely painful and long as hell! The pain and starvation will literally change you as a person. Much respect for him getting through tht! Annnnd what most people dont know is when you damage or tamper with those nerves by your jaw, it gives you temp or permanent paralysis in your face. Weird parts of your face too. Makes you realize how cohesive your body functions and how everything is connected. One thing can throw off the whole spectrum.

I just recently broke my jaw in 4 places after I fell face first into a brick/stone patio. It’s an awful injury and I truly feel for him that people are so shallow and making home feel bad about what he endured. I think he still looks very handsome. ❤️

Yeah I’m not totally buying the story. I live on the west coast I know what plastic surgery looks like and boy has obviously had lips and cheeks done too. Even if the jaw story is true, he got the surgeon to do more than just fix his jaw.

I don’t care what he may or may not have gotten done. He’s a talented dude and I enjoy his work. I hope he’s healthy and happy. What he chooses to do is his own decision. Nobody gives anyone grace or leniency these days.

He had 3 different jaw surgeries. One years ago after falling into a glass table, according to him/ his management, then the second less than a year ago from supposedly falling into his fountain, and then the third recently that is a little smaller and more rounded. There were three jaw implants. It's obvious when you look at photos. Plastic surgeons on YT have said so too. It's wider now and longer and his lips are stretched out wider. There was filler put in his cheeks and lips, which has dissipated a little. He's had 3 nose jobs and a blepharoplasty. He's still handsome, but a little strange in the lower part of his face. Switch out the jaw implant to the natural width.

He said he broke his jaw in 2013, go watch his 2014 interview, he looks like his normal self not anywhere near what he looks like today. He has obviously done extensive plastic surgery recently.
