I've never been that interested in country before, but since then I've been listening to all kinds of country music up and down. I love this series!

This guy is awesome and criminally underrated. This entire album is excellent. Ive had it on repeat for days. Interesting he's considered country, I consider him more folk or singer/songwriter. There are lots of artists like this who could be considered "country" then I guess. I think he has a very similar sound to Brian Fallon from Gaslight Anthem. If you like this, check out his solo albums. Especially songs like Long Drives and Red Lights.

He's full country in my mind. I don't like too much country myself. This is a good song. Simple, like many country songs used to be. It's not contrived and a just a twang on another pop tune. Pretty good in my mind. I'm checking out Brian Fallon next. Thanks for the suggestion!

My dad and I are still ranchers/cowboys, grew up with that lifestyle now that my dad is getting older I'm trying to learn more from him and teach my kids. But this song just does a great job at telling a cowboys story. Great work.
