This song was made for a girl that lived in a small town right down the road from mine that passed away she wrote in a note book how his songs made her feel or meant to her. Her mom met up with Zach and gave him the note book and he wrote this song.

Just discovered Zach Bryan a few weeks ago. Ended up uncovering this song. We lost our daughter Magnolia Jo (Maggie). This song has a special place in my heart.

I just lost one of my brothers, and he always preached about how time is limited and how someday is today. He was right, he was taken away from us at 22, last week. One hell of a good man, every time i listen to this song, it reminds me of Travis. This song will be one of my favorites for a long time

😭💔 This has me bawling. I so miss my husband 😢 He passed away October 3,2014 at the age of 60 and I was just 46 years old. He was the most amazing husband, Dad and Bumpa. Just a few days before he passed away he asked me to take him out on our porch, he had been on home Hospice for 2 years and when we stepped out on the porch he asked me if I could hear the doves, we live on the farm that he was raised on and we raised our children on. He then sang to me, "On the Wings of a Snow White Dove" it was then that I knew his time was near 😔 He was a gentle giant at 6'4" and he never raised his voice to me or a hand, that right there is the definition of a real man. His last words to me were, "I wish I could box you all up and take you with me, please watch our children succeed and our grandchildren grow up". We all miss him terribly. Thank you for this beautiful song. 🎤💙🎶

There’s multiple different songs where Zach talks about eventually sending a postcard from a place he’s never been. I can’t help but feel he’s referencing heaven. It may be more obvious than I realize but I’ve never heard someone suggest it so I figured I would.

My stepson was recently at Zac’s show at Oakland. It gave me such an intense feeling to see the video he took of himself and all the boys his age around him, singing with their hearts to ‘all they comprehend is a fucking dollar sign’ and the anger and pride in them. They know it is a whole mixed up bs world those boys are inheriting. And I know the girls of that generation are in the same position, but in that moment for my stepson, it was about the boys.
