Avril is one of the few that has a unique voice... when you hear her sing, you’ll know it’s her without looking.... most artists today sound the same. You can’t tell them apart anymore... the late 90s to the early 2000s still has the best music.

I was 13 when Complicated was released. Avril instantly became an idol of mine. What she's saying is true, we punk kids got picked on bad for being ourselves. I mean, some really dark, violating, judgmental bullshit was kind of our everyday experience with others. It was wrong and I for one am so glad kids experience that to a lesser degree now. It needs to end altogether, imo.

I watched and I just love her personality. I feel I could sit down and talk to her about all kinds of stuff.. she's so casual..
