As a Korean, we bow in order to show thanks n respect to others in a polite way. But BTS are still being humble, kind and nice people since they weren't popular. With the good personality.. they are loved by not just young generation but parents and old people as well. :)

BTS's album Map Of The Soul: Persona just went Gold in the U.S. in less than 5 months. That is their second album to go gold in the U.S. They sold out every stadium they performed in their US tour this year and sold out Wembley Stadium. Like Namjoon says: Haters gonna hate, but they still know BTS' names. 💜

In Korea, you bow to elders, superiors, or strangers. In most parts of the world, respect is earned. In Korea, respect is assumed until proven otherwise. The deeper the bow, the greater the amount of respect you are showing, because you are literally putting yourself at a lower level than the person you're bowing to. Which is why it's a big deal when people give a 90 degree angle bow, or the rare times when you go to the floor to do a full traditional bow (like when Suga dropped to the ground and bowed his head to the floor on-stage at a concert when he saw his parents in the audience). The full bow shows a respect at the level of worship. Like for kings and gods. It's not done often, and when it's done, it is of great significance and meaning.

Wow I'm early for once! Last time I was this early Jungkook was still rapping. Bowing in Korea is also a sign of respect, the lower the bow the more important the meeting. Regarding Dirty Spoon, in Korea if you're not part of the Big 3 companies (SM, JYP, YG) then you don't succeed. But BTS was the first one to break that and they still do so to this day. Rap mon had this funny ass haircut in BTSs first song called No More Dream and a few songs following that. Jungkook used to rap before he sang. Jimin was buff af, Jin never got to sing more than a line or two... It's up to u two, but if you want to get to know them better, u can try watching their first few songs. No more dream, Bulletproof pt 2, No, Danger... U might not like those songs as much as u like the recent ones, but u will know how high they raised since they started, in terms of music, dance and fame.

Whenever locals say shit about their attitude, I'm just like confused af cuz I bet they've never, like ever bowed to someone in their whole life. BTS always bows to people and even stranger, that's how respectful and humble they are. Unlike other artists, they show off whenever they get an award but BTS doesn't do that, instead they thank the staffs and people who supported them first and tell armies how thankful they are. I still remember 2018 MAMA when most of the member burst in tears.

People bow to elders and seniors. Elders and seniors reciprocate by nodding, not bowing. It’s important that younger people bow or acknowledge seniors first. What’s special about bts is that they actually bow to younger and people that just debuted. They often bow first and acknowledge others before others approach them. BTS was mistreated and looked down upon (because they came from small agency , hence filthy spoon) when they first debuted. Now, people make videos about learning manners from BTS

You Bow to everyone it’s a form of respect. Now you don’t just bow in the middle of 5e street every time you walk by someone but here when they were accepting awards they would bow to other idols and other people such as the people handing them the award. People also bow as a sign of thank you so if someone does something for you or say something nice you bow to them. And many other occasions and scenarios like that. You also bow to authority figures like the president and you get it.

Maybe you could go back to reacting to some of their music? When you count all their Korean songs since debut, their Japanese releases AND all the individual projects they've done, it's close to 200 songs. You've barely scratched the surface of their music. It's cool you're reacting to all this other stuff, I get that it's requested and it helps you get to know them a bit better, but still- it would be nice to see you react to some more of their music 😊 They're musicians, after all

Some of these fan made videos are good and some not so much; it's hit or miss. There is so much BTS content - music, MVs, skits, reality show appearances, dance practices, live performances, behind the scenes and Musters, etc that you guys have not seen yet. Bowing is a traditional greeting and gesture of respect mainly in East Asia specifically in Japan, Korea, China and Vietnam. Shaking hands or slight bows have become semi acceptable. I always do half bow if I don't know situation and is informal, seems to work but full bow in business or interacting with the elderly or formal setting like as Temple etc.

I’ll add on to the bowing thing. Yes you are supposed to bow but many don’t. In particular you’re supposed to bow to those who are older or higher rank (but there are younger groups who DONT) but BTS bows to everyone whether older or younger. Ppl in the industry regularly mention how polite BTS are too. Meanwhile when BTS were nothing many older groups treated them like crap (they’ve mentioned it a couple times but no specifics). As rookies that hurt a lot-especially when these were groups they had looked up to, so BTS especially go out of their way to make rookies nowadays feel welcome where no one did for them.
