I usually can’t be bothered to maximize my characters’ potential, but this Zajef guy is making it seem so fun I might actually pay more attention from now on.

This collab was good because it’s bringing the idea of meta to people who aren’t in the know. Being meta doesn’t mean you can’t have fun with your characters. It’s always good to know the fundamentals of how the game works because when you know them you can essentially build your own teams and be effective without just resorting to a national variant. Hopefully now people don’t just put off meta because they think it isn’t fun.

I really like zajef because he explains how to make a unit work properly and how it compares to others, but especially because he knows that meta can help a beginner to get 36 stars without wasting resources and after you accomplish that objective (if you have that objective) then you can do whatever you want even if you build geo full EM xD Unlike others that are really toxic about "meta, meta, meta, dmg, big pipi, dmg, meta" even if you clear the abyss xD

This is actually really cool. Zajef playfully "mocked" Bran with some of his out of the box builds or team comps, but genuinely enjoyed explaining to him how the game worked. I really liked the part where Zajef was writing down the names of the characters Bran liked on the spreadsheet so he could give him some tips, because Zajef didn't force any particular chars or builds on him. He heard what Bran wanted, even some unpopular chars like Sayu, and made sure to give him appropriate tips on how to build those characters. A lot of tc would've just dismissed Bran's liked chars and told him to pick someone else instead. I'm AR60, have been playing since launch, and have consistently 36* the Abyss for about 2 years now, sometimes even multiple times just to try out different teams and I can definitely say that every single character is viable when you build a team around them and properly invest in them. This was good practice from Zajef to ask what Bran liked rather than just suggest some OP teams and stuff.

Zajef's insight was really helpful ! I followed some tips and finally managed to "clear" floor 12 . We tend to fall into the meta of the artifact stats recommendations, while so much depends on what you want to do with characters abilities . I totally forgot all about the 4 star artifacts in my late game , because I was convinced that you'd have to have a "perfect" 5-star artifact set to do the most amount of damage and have the most ability efficiency .

Genshin Impact, the only game where you can learn about complicated game mechanics while at the same time crave for some food, and still have tons of fun

I was also in the same thing when it comes to the word "meta" back then but Zajeff made it very clear to me that it's not just for speedrunning stuff. Guess it's not a "meta slave" thing now for me to say but rather a "high-damage-obsession slave". Well, "meta" is "Most Effective Tactics Available" in the first place, it's just got a lot of misconceptions. I still play casually since Genshin isn't as hard as the other games when it comes to combat. Also, really great collab and it's also fun to see the both of you in the stream.

Another note about Iron Sting: It's also base-atk weighted, rather than main-stat weighted, base-atk doesn't affect his swirls and the EM stat is low 4* tier. Basically, you're just getting a lot more stat-efficiency with Fav, unless you just absolutely don't need the ER/team particles like in hyper-Raiden. (Sacrificial's grouping can also be great for some chambers.) Fav is also great for open-world spam btw., and Sac Kazuha is amazing there.

Yeah, people telling me "you need new characters to beat Abyss" and me clearing Abyss with Childe Double Pyro since 1.1.: "You were saying?" Also I'm surprised there's actually long time owners of Childe who are still not aware that he is the master of numbers.

To me, who doesn't just like to "play the strongest units", meta has always been "bring the most out of your favourite units", which makes games infinitely more enjoyable

Tbh, this is probably why I really like and respect ppl who are really at the top of the meta spectrum, like Zajef, but hate majority of these "meta ppl" who are at the very bottom. Usually the ppl who really are at the top don't talk down on casual as much for just wanting to play whatever character they want, but rather, they introduce teams that the said character can work in and show them how they can still clear the very stagnant endgame content of this game even with their favorite characters, unlike the vocal low level "meta slaves" who only cares about big dmg numbers and such...

It's nice to see that Bran wants to use Sayu. I usually use Sayu with Bannett and Chongyun due to their ults mixing in together but it's nice to see different teams I could use that I haven't tried yet

I’ve been following you since you started Genshin (even though most of the time, I was just lurking) and I often gave you some tc advice. it’s a shame that my advice often get flooded by other comment but hey, at least you have Zajef to help you now. I still remember that day before Kazuha banner came out, I was literally in pain when people told you to use Iron Sting over Fav. 😢 I understand that some people don’t want to bother with min-maxing or TC in general. I means.. people approach game differently and that’s fine. but people need to realize that understanding the complexity or how to play the game is not a crime, it doesn’t mean you can’t have fun and it is actually not difficult to understand.

I had like 170%ER with Iron sting and my kazuha is c1 from 1.6(got lucky) which had no trouble in getting burst back. Now he's using Xiphos R1 which increases ER to 204. Now 0 issues with ER.

This was the first time someone got me kinda interested in some of the theorycrafting stuff :)

i came in thinking i won't enjoy this but even though i do know alot of this shit i was thinking it was simply gonna be a roast but instead i learned some new stuff, i saw someone enjoying to learn some new stuff and i cannot wait to see an update video of this in a few more months

Wow this is really jumping off the deep end! For anyone who isn't super familiar with building characters, just make sure your weapons are 90/90, your characters are at LEAST 60/70 for the passive talent (I like to bring them to 80/90 for the last little bit of ascension stat bonus), and talents are leveled up to at least 7 or 8. Only then start working on artifacts :)

Also, something i didn't know until someone showed me, Chong and Benny are incredibly broken together, Chong can tripple melt with his burst, but to do it seems complicated at first but it's really not, idk how to do it on Console, but with Keyboard and mouse is just, Benny burst, and then Alt+Switch to Chong, to just switch already bursting, each of his swords will melt on Benny Burst like that, so if you wanna play with Chong as a main DPS, you could do this trick to get a ton of dmg out of his burst this way and them use the rest of the time melting with his NA after Benny and Shen bursts, not like, ultra meta and all, but is cool XD

when i hear about domain difficulties, i can relate damn well with bran. 1 month won’t be enough. You require at least 3 months or more time to obtain decent artifacts. EMPHASIZE on the decent. If you want insane artifacts, then it will be much a worse problem. I’m still farming emblem just to improve certain artifacts that i feel is bad.
