Zambia | Things to do in Mbala

It is 25km from the border with Tanzania and connected by a dry-season road to one of only two road border crossings between the two countries. The two countries also share access to Kalambo Falls which was my main reason for heading to Mbala.

Enjoying sunset and sunrise over Lake Chila from Lake Chila Lodge

Hope they find a way of removing the weeds as it used to be done before independence. Lake chila had one of the most beautiful golf course in zambia.

Next time you are in mbala visit Zambia highest mountain standing at 2040 it's along mbala-nakonde road about 35km from lake chila

What Is The Reason Behind The Sharing Of Access To Kalambo Falls In Mbala? I Thought That The Falls Was Located In Zambia Exclusively?

Kalambo Falls is located in the border area between Tanzania and Zambia so it is shared by both countries as to why the original creators of the border decided to go that direction i really dont know

@@Liesel81-across-all-borders it depends on the language. In Kikongo it means fruit of the soil, or “potato”. In Umbundu it means village or city (I may be wrong). In Zulu it may mean something else

In Mambwe Mbala means Bush buck. In those days Bush bucks were very common in mbala
