Ahh the good memories of playing this as a kid. This and the Hoenn rival theme are the best. You actually feel happy to battle them just to listen to the music.

I always felt like Cheren should’ve gotten a different rival theme. Is that just me? I always loved this rival theme, but I felt it fit Bianca a lot more than Cheren. Even Pokémon Masters shows this with its remix of it tailored specifically for Bianca. This remaster is really amazing either way!! Brings back a lot of memories.

I think Bianca was the first rival in whose personal story I was genuinely interested in this brings some pleasant memories

Cheren started all tough and softened up during his journey, learning power was only a means to an end. Bianca started anxious and unsure about her future, and grows into her role as Professor Juniper's assistant, becoming brave and reliable to help those around her. I started with the goal of exploring and created bonds I never thought I'd need. The three of us had a great month together. I miss these guys so much, I'm gonna replay so many times once I get the chance.

My favorite Rivals! Friendly but still serious about competing with the protagonist. As a kid i've always liked choosing Oshawott so Bianca could get Tepig because it fitted with her colors

This is the second best theme in Gen 5 behind team plasma battle, and oh my god this rendition is PERFECT. If this is what Gen 5 remakes would sound like, get it to me faster please!

Bianca getting harder and harder to defeat as the story progressed was so good. She starts off as the easy rival and by the end she's a real challenge, even harder than Cheren. Fits her story so well.

Seeing how crappy brilliant diamond and shining pearl turned out I really hope game freak doesn't butcher black and white especially because it's my favorite pokemon game I really hope they approve on mainline pokemon games especially the upcoming scarlet and Violette they should just do black and white remake in 2026 or 2027 not 2025 since that year is it's 15th anniversary because they rushed diamond and pearl remake for it's 15th anniversary year. Update: Now that scarlet is out I played it and it's actually great now I am begging for a black and white remake I hope it comes out this year or next year
