Notes: • Mentioned several times in the Quran and Hadith. • Anger can be a defence mechanism. • Unlike personal ibadah, good character benefits everyone around us and eventually communities. • Good character is akin to light; it shines and stands out. • Good character is based on 3 major aspects; ○ Anger ○ Desire ○ Knowledge • Anger should be regulated, moderate and useful. Lack of it can lead to cowardice and / or lack of motivation. • Best role model in moderating anger is Prophet Muhammad (saw); personal attacks were ignored and made him more patient, however he got upset when Islam what attacked. • Recognise you have an anger problem first before trying to curb / suppress it; compare yourself to others. • Lashing out at family members is very harmful. • Controlling anger and improving character will get you closer to Jannah. • Recite this when angry to subdue and suppress it; Audhu Billahi Minashaitanir Rajeem - "I seek refuge with Allah (swt) from the accursed shaitan". • Shaitan rides and takes advantage of one's anger. When angry, shaitan will magnify, expand and take over it. • Controlling anger will maintain one's self-respect. • Earth yourself by getting on the ground when angry, akin to electricity. Humans are from the earth / soil signifying humbleness. • Ideal to give criticism whilst sitting in a calm and relaxing environment. • If there is someone that you dislike and makes you angry; ○ Pre-empt it and compose yourself. ○ Avoid the trigger points and confrontation ○ Say the following dua "Oh Allah I seek Your Protection from disputation, hypocrisy and bad character". (Abu Dawud, Book 8, Number 1541). • Anger gives a false sense of power; do not get used to it. Also contributes to negative physical health. • Walk away and think from a situation when inclined to immediately response • Do physical exercise as this also helps in venting stress. • Talk about your feelings with someone you trust. • Perform wudhu. • Make dua constantly. • Have a dhikr regimen. • Accept your mistakes and be honest with yourself; ties in with suppressing arrogance. • Learn to forgive and forget. • Try to develop indifference to that thing that gets you angry. • Keep a diary of your outbursts; data collection to identify trends and patterns. • Seek professional advice if necessary, eg therapy.

33:30 what to do when someone is ALWAYS angry no matter what situation. Its an internal problem not caused by any single event. Its kind of like how some people have a predisposition to being naturally positive and others are in this perpetual state of anger not knowing how to have a basic conversation. Its a constant anger, no rhyme or reason. 90% of your day is spent controlling it, but nobody sees this, they see the 10% you get angry because it starts to feel like fasting. You cannot go your whole life without eating. How do you get rid of the constant anger? There is no reason for it to be there. I can feel shaytaan constantly trying to get me to unload on someone. This isnt normal and actually quite exhausting and debilitating. I refuse to speak to people bc Im worried they will hold me to account on Yawm al Qiyamah for not restraining myself when they don't realize, that every breath I take is me restraining myself. It has gotten so bad at times where I spend days crying and wanting to end it all. This isnt normal. I read daily adkhars, prayers, duas, fasts, durood, names of Allah. Nothing makes it go away. Only bandaid solutions. What do I do? Please help

@@aminabegum766 I appreciate the advice. But I can feel a jinn in my stomach and legs... This anger isnt mine. I once read my adkaar very slowly right after doing ishraak prayer and I felt something leave my stomach. I felt so free that day. My anger left instantly. I know why its there in the sense of who is causing it but he comes back. I feel him in my stomach right now too. When I touch my belly, he moves and moves into my leg and then comes back in my stomach after a few mins. I can see things in my house all the time also. The problem is They dont leave. I dont know how to get rid of them. Al baqarah dosent get rid of them, quran surahs dont make them leave, ayatul kursi is a band aid solution and ruqya only helps for a little while. My only solution seems to be ishraak but i struggle with ishraak as I have a dibilitating illness that causes me pain in the night and early morning. Worse times of day for me. Pls make dua for me. And thanks for the tips anyway.

Sorry I really don't know what to say. May be my post caused you grieve. I understand completely. When I go through moments of helplessness and when some talks about any solutions it only makes me frustrated. Involve your family in your grief they would help. Don't bottle up things. Allah will make a way out be assured.

@@aminabegum766 thank you sister. Your words didnt cause me grief. I realize you were only trying to help. I appreciate the advice honestly. my family isnt very religious and would think im crazy if I said anything. So i havent told them much, I tried telling them once about the jinn and they kept trying to tell me that It was just me having nightmares or that I watched a scary movie so I must be imagining things. Im just trying to find the right solution to this. Also... Im pretty sure a family member black magicked me at some point as this person has told other family of mine that they want to ruin me bc they hold me personally responsible for something I have never actually done and have some kind of vendetta against me. I have also been told to never eat anything this person gives me and was also told that this person is extremely envious of me which is true bc they have said this to my face already. I have forgiven this person if they have done anything haram against me, I really hope Im wrong about them and just have an ordinary jinn issue. As I dont like to blame ppl for things without evidence and can look past things even if they're true as im not the type to keep grudges. Pls make dua for me. I just want to be normal again.
